So from what you are all saying, am I right in assuming Giovanni was the most successful of all the dancers with tours?

Yes, but, he started off at smaller venues and gradually went to the larger ones. One thing I will say about Giovanni he had some of the most amazing dancers on his tours that I saw (which was 2 - Him and Me and Made in Italy). You didn’t miss him when he wasnt on stage. Also the singer he had - Michelle, I think, is amazing. This dancers in my opinion out shone him quite a bit.

From seeing those shows, that it confirmed my original view of Gio, pre Rose, that he was/is snarky and why I believe Amanda et al.

Don’t believe how they acted on screen/interviews. She seemed pissed off with him at regular intervals. Perhaps the 6 year age gap was more obvious in real life? He may look older but underneath he’s just a bit of an essex boy who prefers his own company on the golf course than actually spending time with Nadiya. The red flag was them living separately all that time and seldom having holidays together. She was always off in Slovenia without him. They milked that Maldives one, but in truth it was only 6 days and that seems to be the only one in 2023 apart from the freebie Dan no doubt arranged at the St Pancras hotel ( where they took a load of carefully arranged photos)

Nikita is performing Midnight Dancer in the centre of Manchester next May - it's the brand new staging area near Castlefield - the one that had the Japanese artist lady last Summer (Yayoi Kusama)

I too think Gio genuinely doesn’t think he has done anything wrong. I think his ego has been allowed to grow because he was never pulled up on his behaviour and he was overindulged and rewarded by the BBC with his programme with Anton. I know lots of people can’t understand Anton and him being ‘besties’. I think Anton is his insurance policy. Anton has gotten away with bad behaviour in the past and is clearly a BBC favourite. Gio aligning himself with him gave him more clout with the BBC.

Do I think Amanda can be a difficult person? Yes, she isn’t someone I would choose to spend time with. That makes her an unsympathetic victim but it doesn’t mean that she is lying.

Do I think Gio behaved in an inappropriate way? Yes, just some of the comments that makes on stage - Lauren’s tit partner, let me show my strictly colleagues what a sell out show looks like, what’s that mad woman going to say next etc. - shows that he is an arrogant prick who thinks he can say what he likes. Imagine what he is really like behind closed doors. I’d be interested to hear what Molly would have to say but I suspect that their relationship business arrangement came with watertight legal papers.

Do I think the BBC are going to find Gio is in the wrong? No. I think if they find in Amanda’s favour then the spotlight would be on them and the fact that they handled the whole situation terribly.

This partnership was a recipe for disaster but if the BBC had pulled in Gio for his behaviour previously and taken action when Amanda raised concerns then this would have all been dealt with behind the scenes.

I don’t think Strictly should finish but I do think TPTB need to pay the price for their incompetence. There needs to be changes in the senior managers and also within the judging team. Quite frankly after how Shirley has behaved over this situation I don’t think her contract should be renewed.
