In this era batshit Strictly news, this image doesn't even raise an eyebrow. Nothing surprises me anymore

Re Nikita's tour - not sure about the size of some of those venues - the Armadillo in Glasgow is massive and the pro tour doesn't even manage to sell it out

Literally. I'm going there on Wednesday to see Stevie Nicks. Why on earth have they booked him that?!

Before I say what I am going to say - I want to make it clear that I do not agree with the pros treating contestants badly! Absolutely not - there is no need for physical or verbal abuse.

Ok here goes: Zara was not a good dancer. She was clunky and had no rhythm. She probably would have been out in week 2 or 3 if Graziano hadn't worked her so hard. Given what we know now, maybe she should have left in week 2! We'll never know and that is up to Zara to decide.

The contestants learn entire dances, to a very high standard, in a week. Most of the contestants can't dance to begin with. Do we really believe that they progress and improve every week without high pressure? This is where the show is flawed. Many of the contestants are still working their day jobs and the pros are also trying to do theirs - which is to teach these difficult dances.

It will be interesting to see if the standard of dancing drops now.

The issue with Graziano isn't him putting pressure on Zara though, it's that he kicked, hit and spit on her. The other pros are under pressure also, some of them probably feeling pressure more than Graziano because they've got a contender and they're expected to do well. The issue is Graz and how he deals with things.

I’m struggling to see your point tbh.

That's true actually I've never thought of that before. Like it's human to clash, just because you've been given a partner doesn't mean it will work out, it's more human to show that than force these fake showmances. Obviously not to the extent of Graz but I think it would be refreshing to not have the 'best friends forever' line shoved down our throats for every single partner
I think Strictly began as part of a genre of "people learning job skills" that was popular at the time. There was a show called Faking It, where a guy learnt to be a drag queen, and someone learnt to be a TV Studio Director (funnily enough, Tess Daly was in it and rude to the person).
So showing the Strictly training rooms, and how they were getting on, played a more important part.
But then it gradually changed to "it's all lovely, and one big family" etc.
It's like they never want to show anything negative.
The Pros are being as tough as ever, no doubt, but it's all hidden. Nowadays, they might be tougher because the further they go in the competition, the more likely they are to get tours etc out of it. And Graziano has taken it to another level beyond the pale altogether.
That's my take on it anyway.

Oti would be one I'd be curious about. Or was the "I'm so scary" stuff just an act. Her celebs always seemed to train crazy hours.

Vincent & Ian need to play carefully since the press will bounce on any bit of gossip.
Maybe they have named them to the relevant people and advised to keep quiet whilst they investigate
