He‘s really laying it in thick, isn’t he.
He’s just done a tour and has had work outside of Strictly, so I don’t think he’s down to his last few quid just yet. “Living next to some cows”, indeed. What utter bollocks.
I’m sure he does feel terrible and that his career is over. But he’s the one who put himself there.

Just to add , having to have chaperones/security/minders , call it what you will, is not very family friendly.

Supervised rehearsals are standard across much of the entertainment industry so not sure how it's not family friendly. I think that's why Layton was quite surprised and made a comment about some of the hours not being legal and Amanda pointed out long before leaving about having to sneak food. It should have always been in place.

I wonder if this will see a return of more silly non training vets, which I was glad they were partly moving away from. Or whether they'll show more from the training rooms in a 'nothing to see here's way.

I do feel the taping the celebs to brooms etc will probably be out the window. There's other methods.

It's very sad. There was something very cosy about watching the training in the winter evenings on It Takes Two. I sometimes felt a bit envious about them turning up with big scarves and leggings and cha cha heels and a firm but nice man teaching an engrossing new skill. I could see how it could've come addictive, and horrible when it stopped.
The fact that for some contestants it was actually an incredibly unpleasant time is awful. And completely unnecessary given it is a light entertainment show (or at any time but ykwim).

I agree totally with the Rev whe he says it shouldn't come as a revelation to anyone that Srictly has a 'dark heart' didn't we all sadly sort of know it deep down .

I’ve watched since series 1 and while I’ve always been healthily cynical about the glitz and the gushing devotion, and very conscious that it’s manipulated to the nth degree, incredibly fake and overly manufactured, and stuffed to the gills with egotistical nightmares, it has indeed been a revelation to me that contestants may be hit, kicked and spat on whilst learning a dance.

There’s seeing through the veneer of sequins and fake tan, and then there’s assault, abuse and degradation. It should absolutely be a revelation to everyone watching that their license fee is funding abuse.

From the Daily Fail:

A source said: 'Graziano has lost everything. He is in pieces and filled with remorse. He knows, quite rightly, there is no way back for him in showbiz in the UK. His Strictly dancing career is over.

'He’s fled back home and is living on a farm, earning a pittance, and throwing himself into manual labour.

'He says he is literally living next to some cows- it’s an astonishing fall from grace.'
[/B]

It’s been just over a week since he was canned. That all seems to have happened rather quickly. 🙄

Did proper LOL at 'He says he is literally living next to some cows’, though 😁

I also think that they should drop the sob story/this is SO meaningful/we are having the best time ever falsities and just let everyone enjoy it for what it actually is.
For sure.

Although it will always make me laugh that Tom Fletcher gave a mention to his sister, the inimitable Carrie 😉. I thought is she dead. No, she's appearing in a show in the West End. Okaaaaaaay then 🤣

Exactly.

Pretty sure Graz has just gone to live with family and helping out on the family farm. In fact Graz is doing what I imagine Vito to do when he finishes dancing - move back to Italy and work on the family farm. I love the idea of farmer Vito.

Vito won Strictly on the Saturday, did all the press interviews needed and then went to Rome for the Ballando finale the following Saturday. After that, he went back to Naples for Christmas where he spent most of his time working on the farm or with his dad fixing buildings. Love Farmer Vito 🥰

Graziano, the abusive prick, was already over in Sicily celebrating his wedding anniversary. He didn’t seem to be doing anything other than lounging on the beach when the news broke, I can’t imagine he has had to go straight into the field to earn £6 an hour already.

The gutter press are just getting their columns worth whilst they can - Shimmy Jimmy is currently the main feature on the Fail online “hitting back”.

Facebook is awful. I’m not in any of the Strictly FB groups now (how woeful was the falling out of the groups last year 🙄) and the fact nobody was allowed an opinion without a pile on (even innocuous opinions about Angela Rippon being given dances that suit her abilities) but every newspaper story on there is full of mostly women commenting that if celebs can’t handle hard work they shouldn’t sign up/they can’t take the heat/dancing is a tough world all while stating Gio and Graziano are misunderstood.

Why is it like that? If they start a new job would they expect to go on a training course and for their boss to give them a swift kick under the table if they didn’t pick something up straight away?

There’s only one winner every series and we all know it’s not always the best dancer who wins. So surely egos need to be left at the door and they just crack on with making it an enjoyable experience FOR THE CELEB. They’ll probably be back the following year but this is the Celeb’s only time doing it. And if they’re not able to do that then hopefully now they won’t be kept on.

I know Aljaz isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I find him genuine. He’s had a few partners he wasn’t going to win with but they all seem to speak highly of him and he’s seems to have given them an enjoyable experience.

I don’t know what it’s going to look like this year tbh. They need to go back to basics though because the pressure to score highly while doing more and more technically difficult dances is not going to work with potentially shorter and chaperoned dance lessons. I hope they lose the Couple’s Choice and I hope they lose all the cheesy little segments they have the couples doing - that should free up a lot of time!!

His family has a vineyard in Sicily which he was visiting when all this kicked off. So he's basically staying with family, helping out on the vineyard. Hardly living a life of indentured servitude.

Wonder if he's already put a call into Ballando or is letting the dust settle. I saw a popular Italian twitter account call for him and Giovanni to be hired. Giada must be hoping her own job there won't be affected.
Somehow - call me psychic - I had a feeling he wasn't sleeping in straw and eating the husks that they fed the swine . . .

This morning I rewatched Zara and Graziano’s last interview on ITT (S21: E26) with Fleur. I just wanted to look for any signs that all was not well but there was nothing.
In fact, it is even more apparent that Zara did not make those complaints as she seemed to be completely taken in, when asked what she was going to miss most, she was tearful pointing to Graz and calling him “the most special beautiful soul in the world” 💔
