Johannes was set to be Grazianos’s best man at his wedding before covid de-railed it. In the end Johannes wasn’t able to travel for the wedding but they have still always been very close friends.

What a mess, I hope Zara is ok. They will have to find a replacement soon because pro rehearsals start in under 2 weeks.
Haven't pro rehearsals already started, I'm sure there was a post about it the other day.

But haven't loads of couples done that? The strictly curse and all that. Why would the producers care?

If anything, at the time it happened the producers would have been eagerly leaking it to the tabloids to generate another "Curse!" story and get more viewers. There's just no way I can see them sacking Graziano for that, and his statement also implies it was to do with his training methods.

Them having an affair would have absolutely nothing to do with physical and mental abuse, can we please use our brains here. It doesn’t matter if Zara has cheated on her boyfriend 100 times before, Graziano clearly acted inappropriately towards her both physically and mentally. Can we stop assuming that she was partly to blame?
Yeah, I looked on her thread here and surprise, surprise, it's a misogynistic dumpster fire - she's a slag and had an affair. Graziano has at least taken some responsibility (unlike Gio) and hinted he pushed Zara too hard. The show has made clear she didn't complain. They would not sack him for shagging her!

yeah, the “affair” stuff is nothing more than an opportunity to drag zara tbh. people really need to read graz’s statement again, and slowly. it pretty much spells out the why even if it doesn’t give full details on the how.

I don’t see them sacking him for them having an affair, unless they’d been shagging in the studio but that seems unlikely? Surely half the pros would be gone if they sacked them for having affairs? What makes it so strange is that they still follow eachother and she went to support his tour and pro tour April/May time. If she was asked to tell her side of the story maybe at the time she didn’t think much of it but now its grounds for sacking?

I also think if it was affair related that Graz would have apologised to his wife in his statement?

I feel bad for Zara.

me too. aside from the “she shagged him!!” rumours, there’s the very real likelihood that she didn’t register it as crossing the line when it was happening, gave her feedback to production staff as per the fail article, and now has seen a man she seemed to really like (as a friend or whatever) get sacked from his job. and you KNOW she’s going to get most of the hate for it, she already is. i feel for her.

Inappropriate physical and verbal behaviour certainly could be of a sexual nature and gross misconduct if it was considered harassment or an abuse of power and witnessed by others being done at work. Zara could have been caught up in the strictly bubble at the time and only now realise it was inappropriate once others complained.

he says “my determination to win might have affected my training regime” - i don’t know how that translates to sexual harassment but it certainly DOES translate to someone physically and verbally pushing a partner too far over competitiveness imo.

Very, very shocked at this news. There must obviously be indisputable evidence as Graz has been sacked immediately rather than an investigation.
How often are the cameras in the training rooms? It seems a lot more than the old days when you just used to get footage once a week. Surely the camera crews aren’t going to stand by and film abuse without saying anything. Presumably they have been through BBC training. Strange story, more to come I guess.
