This comment made go and check Graz's post. Nowhere in that does he apologise to Zara. So, he admits that he did something that went too far but doesn't apologise for it. hole.

I assume they are expecting her to say he didn’t do it because they can’t accept that he is capable of something like that. But you don’t get instantly fired over nothing 🫠

Everything will be 'eyes on' and anything could easily be misconstrued therefore both pro's and celebs will be aware that everything they do or say is going to be analysed and the media will report any little thing just for the readership
I think today, especially after the last few months, has been badly handled as it seems both Graz and Zara especially have been press fodder.

It won’t be hard. They will make a big fuss of Aljaz returning and all will be forgotten. A lot of these viewers couldn’t care less about this whole situation and are still blaming Zara, it’s terrible. I think the pros will be very careful with what they say and the pros who are known for being strict will mention that a lot less, if at all.

I don't think it was a pro who reported something. It seems to have been production staff.

I hope that none of the pros knew, or that they were also conned by him. I think of how they all jumped ship from Gio in November when Amanda left. I can imagine them hearing rumours and him dismissing them, and he was still close to Zara.
But of course we don't know any of these people!Maybe they're all monsters.

There is a huge difference between being a bit of a twit or a diva and being abusive though. Not saying Aljaz is an angel but that story was really nothing compared to this.

I think there is actually a chance that the pros might not have been aware of it. It seems like Zara is the one who told the other celebs and I can see her not wanting to tell the pros because they're his friend, not hers. The pros with partners would have been focused on their own celeb. Not to mention their real life stuff as well. Karen getting divorced, Gorka with a newborn, Dianne's dad being diagnosed with cancer and Amy's cancer diagnoses, she seems to be close to quite a few of the pros so I'm sure it would have affected them as well.

Wondering this too. Whole things tainted now. Won’t be able to look at any of them in the same way.
 
I'm very disillusioned by this whole situation, not least because the tabloid press are weaponising it to double-down on their anti-BBC agenda (but I guess that's for a different thread).

Initially I was gobsmacked, although I was prepared to give credit to Graz for (sort-of) holding his hands up & admitting to a level of culpability. I also thought it was telling that Zara didn't initiate any complaints, maybe because she assumed his training methods were part & parcel of the dance world?

But the abuse she's receiving on SM and the excuses he's getting just don't sit right with me. I don't see how anyone with more than 2 braincells to rub together can accuse Zara of doing anything wrong here. The extent / context of the alleged abuse is still an unknown factor, but there's no coming back from this for Graziano imo. I had him pegged as a genuinely nice guy, but if he's overstepped the line between 'pushing' and abusing his partner then he needs to go away and seriously reflect on his behaviour. When he gets to 'tell his own story' it needs to start with a massive apology to Zara. Whatever happened in the training room, she's now copping shedloads of abuse when there's not a shred of evidence that she's done anything at all to warrant it.

Rightly or wrongly, this is where I'm at now, too. Graz was very close with several of the pros and I can't help but wonder how much they knew about it or condoned it, or how much they themselves lean into a completely affected persona that's nothing like who they really are.

That’s true, it was production who reported it. I really hope none of the other pros knew, but as you say they could all be absolute dickheads! I think what we all need to remember (myself included) is that we really don’t know these people at all. If you’ve met them and they were lovely, great, but are they going to be rude to a fan who’s paid money to see their show/take a class from them?
If there is a series this year, pros must be told what’s acceptable and what’s not, so there’s no blurred lines excuses. I think they also need more than a minute long ‘speed dating’ match up session when deciding partners.
 
Mad. Can’t say I was a massive Graz fan, he was one of the slightly irrelevant ones for me but I wouldn’t have expected this behaviour in a million years. He’s really good mates with shining light Johannes isn’t he?! 🤯 Johannes is always praised for the exact opposite behaviour, slightly bizarre they’d be such good mates if Graz is literally hitting people in training 🤯

There’s no way on earth Strictly won’t go ahead this year though. Graz wasn’t one of the big stars IMO. They’ll brush it under the carpet although I imagine the pros will be having some very serious meetings about how they conduct training!

As for Aljaz, he stays best mates with his partners years & years later. He might be arrogant to BBC staff but there’s a huge difference between having an ego & abusing someone!

That’s not me excusing any bad behaviour either. Obviously it’s not right to be acting like a brat especially as a grown adult but in comparison to this situation with Graziano it almost feels like nothing.
 
The dance world is harsh. I was TERRIFIED of my dance teachers growing up and it's partly the reason why I no longer dance. My siblings had other interests and none of their teachers were anywhere near as strict as mine were. I totally get its a passion and you do have to be strict with yourself but I do wonder how many of the pros on the likes of strictly were abused the same way when they were being taught and just see it as it is how it is. Not excusing this person's behaviour at all, just to make that clear. Even just look at the likes of "dance moms" abbie Lee Miller was horrid to those girls, and that's with cameras being present. It would be interesting to see if any of this persons dancers from previous years say anything as well.
Personally I think he's ruined the show for everyone. It will come back from this but it won't be the same and I think the pressure will be on the pros to change a lot of their methods. Extra security is clearly needed in rehearsals as well which I'm not sure a lot of them would like either
