Have any of the professionals asked on Instagram for suggestions about who they might be paired with? I feel last year a lot of them were doing this. Could it be that they don’t know if they are getting partners yet. Maybe it’s a big change this year.

Gorka asked it the other day on his story. I can't see him getting anyone who isn't northern-based - surely he won't want to spend all week in London?

Love this non-story: Gorka dealt 'crushing blow' by... being at the bottom of the bookies odd for this series, whose pairings haven't been announced!

Gio is the pro favoured to win, followed by Johannes and Dianne.

Layton and Bobby are top of the celeb odds, with Les at the bottom

Well, one of the other is wrong … because Gio isn’t going to win with either Layton or Bobby.
 
As ever I've heard of some of the contestants, never heard of Nikita, Eddie, Zara and Bobby (although obviously knew who his mother was). Vaguely aware of Adam, Angela, Nigel and Layton. Fully aware of Amanda, Jody, Ellie (although only knew her Corrie character not her real name), Krishnan, Annabel, Les and Angela. To be honest I thought at the time that last year's line up was much stronger but some of the people I thought would be good turned out a bit meh so will see how it goes. Am fully expecting both Adam and Layton to be irritating and for me to forget which is Zara and Nikita for most of their time in the show.
 
An advert for Everybody's Talking About Jamie just popped up on youtube, blimey if Layton had the starring role in that he might well be one of the ringiest ringers that ever ringered. I'm all for it, the ringers are normally my favourite (I'm still annoyed Danny Mac and Karim Zeroual didn't win in their respective years), I'd be bored to tears watching 15 James Cracknells.

As ever, Vicky's Facebook group is providing endless entertainment. Emma must have gone to make a cuppa during Craig's drag performances

I saw on FB some of Gio's fans want him to get her - I could see it: mix of Debbie ('classy', older, English rose blah blah) and Ranvir (sob) - getting my groove back, needs TLC from an unlikely reformed Lothario. Likely to lack Debbie's decent Latin though, but yes, expect a waltz to Sailing or Angels.

To be honest I think a couple at least of the female partners would be Take 2 for Gio
Elle is obviously Georgia-lite
Annabelle would be Debbeh (minus the tambourine up the hoo-ha) ballet trained, grieving after horrible husband loss.
So not sure I’d give him either.
