I will riot if we have another half-arsed run with a mid to bottom contestant because Gio is there fulfilling his contractual obligations to get his shiny mug on primetime TV to better sell his aftershave for estate agents.

Unless the person is a horrible they deserve a better experience than that.

If we're being real, only certain pros will ever win. There are some who don't have the extra spark and seeing that Johannes & Dianne are near the top shows that the article is rubbish. I'll be shocked if either ever left the glitterball.

To be fair some of the best pros to be on Strictly have never won. Erin, Natalie, Ian and Vincent all never got their hands on the sparkly bauble.

I didn't think Erin was winning material either. Though the other 3 were just very unlucky with how things panned out, as Gorka probably will be in this generation.

At least Natalie has a trophy from Australia though.

You’ve just reminded me that I ran a fan site for Matthew Cutler back in 2007 before I realised he was gay. I used to really be into that Paul Walker (RIP) blonde bangs look 🤦🏼‍♀️

Met him at a Donaheys event and thought all my dreams had come true! He was adorable btw!!

the fact natalie in particular never won still makes me mad. she and ricky didn’t win was absolute robbery.

to win depends so much really on what the audience are going to connect to at the time imo. it’s incredibly difficult to win as a female celeb (which we know) but it’s still all so dependent on what the voting public see in you and what they want. sometimes that can be the complete opposite of what we expect or what’s happened before.

if gorka didn’t win with helen then he never will.

Looking at this grid the people who I would recognise are Angela, Krishnan, Bobby (because he is Jade's son), NIGEL (of course 😁 ) Annabel and Les.


Those two blondes in the middle row, are we sure they are not the same person? 🤔

i honestly think if you stuck Strictly out through series 6 and 7 you could stick it out through anything (even Widdy. Although the CC is touch and go). They were the most bad tempered, snarky series you oculd ever wish to come across. Series 7 suffered for series 6 and the judges hauling their favourites through week after week in an ever more tetchy manner and it was a case of look, if we want the happy go lucky, cutsey, never danced before Charlestoning Hobbit and Olachops <shudder> to win that’s up to us. Suck it up.

Natalie suffered from all sorts of things. It was her first year. I loved her from the off, but others seemed to think she was a super competitive Aussie out for a win. She didn’t help herself by cheerily burbling about how Ricky was leading her like a pro dancer, she felt so safe being led by him, he was awesome etc, etc, etc. I think by the time she was doing the same to Audley Harrison and Michael Vaughan* the penny dropped that, no, she really was just that positive and basically sunshine in human form but it was too late by then. Then, of course, there was all the farrago of back end of the series with Ricky being arrested for assault/driving into a photographer which was never going to sit well.

I don’t think it was co-incidence that the much calmer and feel good series 8 (even with Widdy) reverted to being a non dance off year.

(* how she got Michael Vaughan from that jive - I mean I love it, possibly too much - to the Wembley American Smooth beggers belief)

This is definitely only based on social media followers of the pros! Of course Gio is odds on with his purchased 1m followers 🙄

It doesn't help that the photo of Amanda doesn't actually look like she has in anything I've seen her in.

Totally agree about the two blondes though, said upthread that I'm going to confuse them for weeks.
