Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anybody know when we will find out who’s been paired with who? 💃🏻🕺🏻
So last year some were leaked the week before launch show filming by people who saw the pros out filming the meeting the celebs or by the pro/celeb only following their partner on instagram. There will be the launch show spoiler which is being filmed on the 6th of September. And then if you want to be traditional I will guess the launch show will be aired on the 9th for the first live show to be the 16th.

Zara is more or less toast anyway - she has the deadly combination of wrong fanbase and not being a great dancer. Granted she has youth on her side so can improve quickly but that's the imperative word. I personally see her as one of the first gone, particularly if people like Angela R & Les find a vote.

yep - and she doesn’t have the type of dedication/loyal fanbase that will keep voting for her imo. her boyfriend does though so i already predict loads of insta stories from him begging people to vote for her 🤣 it depends on how likeable she comes across, otherwise i could definitely see her gone in the first few weeks.

I said this last year I think: there have only been three female winners in the last 10 years: Rose, Stacey, and Abbey. All of them varying degrees of girl-next-door, helped by partnerships with popular pros (in Abbey's case Aljaz was new but was immediately beloved)

On this year's line-up I can only see Angela S. fitting the bill, depending on who she's partnered with (and I wonder if her being Irish might work against her a bit (said as an Irish person)).

Amanda and Angela R are probably too old, Zara too sexy/ITV, Nikita an unknown quantity but probably not going to fit the bill for the mainstream. Ellie has potential if she can channel girl-next-door/never danced before/'is a rhumba a dessert'? (but if she's with Gorka then we saw last year that the public liked him with ultimate GND Helen but not more than a nice, awkwardly endearing bloke..)

Layton is already getting in my tits about the "I'm not a dancer" complaining. He was in bloody Billy Elliott. I don't condone some of the over the top abuse directly to him ut just suck it up like own your ability. He could wow people with his amazing dances but instead is coming across as the next Caroline Quentin and won't last long

Don’t go all DvO on us Layton. One was more than enough 🪑

Layton could well equal Jamie for dance offs on the show. At least Molly, Fleur & Ashley seemed pleasant.
He’ll hit the dance off around week 9 or 10 when the leaderboard and maths can’t protect him and cut a swathe through the likes of Ellie, Nikita, Adam and knock Eddie out in the semi final and the internet will pout and there will be lengthy screeds on DS about how it’s not fair, how Eddie should be in the final because he’s the most improved actually not someone who came in already trained … and it’s not like he’s going to win because no one is voting for him, so it’s a wasted place as well.
(you know you’ve watched too much Strictly when …)

I'd like to depreciate the little w*nker making the SCD Wikipedia pages unreadable (same person did this with all the DWTS pages):

And people who like him will say 'I think you'll find he's never been trained in ballroom or Latin!'

God PTSD flashback to the DS threads last year when people insisted Fleur and Molly should be expelled 'for their own good' to protect them from the trauma of being on primetime TV and getting more money!

Yep - 15 series in, can basically predict the script at this point.

I think one of my favourites has to be the people who spent ages analysing Jay’s school/training/course even going to far as to get a syllabus to put an end to all the chatter. It didn’t.
