Considering she seems to be the topic of the day, as this popped up on her post of 2023 memories today I thought I’d share. Lovely friendship these two have, and damn, they are both such beautiful looking people!
As has been said before, Strictly is a machine that just keeps on rolling. One minute you are James Jordan, the new bad boy in town cocking a snook at the old, favourite pros who have been relegated to the first new dance troop and then fast forward 8 years and you are the one throwing the teddy out the pram with not even a dance troop to cool your heels in. All you have left is Twitter and your wife accidentally spilling milk down her bib in front of a fortuitous photographer … while the cocked a snook at favourite old pros who kept a smile and their bridges intact are still employed by the franchise.I can understand why the pros try to capitalise on their moment in the spotlight for as long as they can. They’re in the odd position of being famous because of actual talent - unlike so many celebs pushed onto our screens - but they also know that that fame has a time limit on it before they’re replaced with a younger professional and the only media opportunities open to them will be alongside ex-Love Islanders. Strictly is a machine and there’s always a talented, younger pro waiting in the wings to join the cast.
It must be scary when injuries start becoming more common and taking longer to heal from. Gio definitely didn’t seem to be supporting Vito but, being sympathetic to him for a moment, it must be difficult to see a new Italian pro dancer coming in and storming into two finals, winning the glitterball and gaining a large fanbase when it was only a few years ago that Gio was the hotshot new Italian pro. Now obviously a decent person would be able to check their ego and support a fellow colleague but I can at least understand that it would be difficult to see yourself being replaced and knowing the peak of your career is almost certainly behind you now.
It can’t be long before the show lets some professionals go especially on the women’s side where Lauren felt like a much needed fresh face after too long. I’d keep Lauren, Katya and Jowita and could happily see the rest replaced.
Spot on. James has well and truly put himself on the strictly blacklist. Pros like Vincent are still dancing with the Strictly theatre company and the Cliftons hang on , possibly due to their association with Shirley. As has been said before, Strictly is a machine that just keeps on rolling. Because that’s the other thing about Strictly … it is actually very loyal to those who are loyal to it. I would imagine that any of the current pros who leave not under a cloud will probably be seen somewhere the franchise in some capacity should they want it. Heck, even after Jamelia Tristan judged 2 series of DwtS in Australia.
And Ian Waite spent years listening to Zoe Ball talk absolute bollocks on ITT and is now back as a pro in Australia.Spot on. James has well and truly put himself on the strictly blacklist. BIB - I agree with this.
Imagine in about four years time, and we're all still here, but this time we're saying how much we hope Vito gets benched or leaves because since (hot new Italian pro who we all love has joined) he's got a face like a slapped arse, and clearly doesn't want to be there anymore.
Or, how we used to love Nikita years ago, but since he married Layton and only wants to do shows with him now, he's totally checked out of Strictly and that's probably why his last partner pulled out.
I've never been endeared to Gio. Always thought he was a slime, and have just been actively bored by him these past couple of years, but I can at least understand coming down with a case of the Norma Desmonds when your star is effectively being replaced right before your eyes.
Unacceptable! Only happy ever after I want Nikita to have is with me...and Vito and Carlos in a quadruple.I'm honestly willing to sacrifice Nikita on Strictly for a happy ever after with Layton
*looks around* Who said that?

And Gio borrowed heavily from Vincent … there’s nothing new on Strictly.Love the idea of Gio as Norma Desmond - 'I'm still big, it's the dick pics that have got small!'
Also Vito basically stole Gio's playbook from under him which must be even more enraging - romantic/playful vibes with a sweet young soap star, to the point that some of his own fans are starting to turn to Vito. The pupil has become the master.
Don’t tease my feeble little confused heart with such thoughtsOr, how we used to love Nikita years ago, but since he married Layton and only wants to do shows with him now, he's totally checked out of Strictly and that's probably why his last partner pulled out.
Shaking like a leaflet … and his attempts at roly poly - both verbal and actual. We all remember Vincent's cute word mix-ups... 'Standing Ovulation' for one. I'm reminded every time Vito pulls his nonsense.
Surely he’s been on Strictly long enough to know you don’t bite the hand that feeds you? He’s seen what happens to pro‘s who flounce off with Brendan and AJ and he’s seen what happens when people gracefully exit stage left with Janette, Aljaz and any number old pros who pop up … even Oti came back to choreograph. Unless he actually has a burning ambition to learn how to ice skate and be judged by Oti or be King Rat In panto.BIB - I agree with this.

I wonder: were Richie, Georgia, Laura and Ranvir also the issue?
Anyway, we'll probably never know as Strictly likes to lock any feuds in a vault. Plenty of the pros like/comment on Amanda's posts still so she doesn't seem to be a pariah...
Well, nobody knows! Flirty friends on the show who now maintain an icy silence. Ranvir (along with Georgia and Laura) liked Amanda's leaving post where she snubbed Gio, and has basically never mentioned her time on the show with Gio since whatever happened between them. What happened with Ranvir???

Something has gone down with him. Especially since Georgia & Laura have liked the post.Well, nobody knows! Flirty friends on the show who now maintain an icy silence.
