I've never been endeared to Gio. Always thought he was a slime, and have just been actively bored by him these past couple of years, but I can at least understand coming down with a case of the Norma Desmonds when your star is effectively being replaced right before your eyes.

*slaps self* No! I'm too old to give in to the call of the tinfoil! Never forget how dumb KJ shippers looked when Kai facetimed AJ on New Year's Eve and then promptly never spoke to her again. And of how dumb Rio shippers look when they do/say... anything. 😂

Never mind Georgia being devastated, the Gio and Georgia app thread went into meltdown when they split and had to be closed. Those poor posters who had invested so much including sending Gio a hamper for which no-one ever had a thanks. I imagine he was shaking with fear about what they might send next.
 
God the hamper!! It’s bonkers that such a basic witch as Gio has always attracted such hardcore fans.

Dianne has posted lots of 2023 pics including some that are relevant to my interests

Definitely nothing whatsoever to do with my half-arsed attempts to avoid being sucked into a vortex of shipping lunacy or anything *cough* but this made me chuckle. My internet dropped out for a min with the images not loaded and it displayed bot generated captions instead. This is how it described the photo Layton posted on insta right after the Final. Even AI is an out of control Lakita shipper!

Maybe I'm just a nasty old curmudgeon, but of the gifts that get sent to the pros, it's the scrapbooks that weird me out the most. I don't think it's necessarily that weird for a fan to make for themselves, or if the pro/celeb wanted to commission a professionally done one, but the random ones that just get sent to them by random fans... 😕 I just can't imagine being the pro and not feeling a bit strange about it and mostly just confused as to what I was supposed to do with it. Like... thank you random stranger for the dozens of cut out and pasted in pictures of my face surrounded by glitter pen...? I'll...put it on my shelf?

I mean the ones from kid fans are cute, but I've definitely seen ones where it's adult fans who've sent them pictures of themselves as well... and lol let's just say I'm glad I'm not famous because I doubt I could entirely sell the heartfelt thank you speech in the unboxing story!

It's beyond weird and I can understand them not reaching out to these people to thank them. It's a major overstepping of boundaries, they are probably worried about ending up with stalkers etc.

Not healthy. Just weird.

I think it was decided the random photo where he hadn’t thrown a tea towel over the hamper to hide it was thanks enough. The mental gymnastics of the Superfan are actually awe inspiring at times.
 
Has anyone worked our whereabouts Krishnan GM is on holiday? It's been annoying me trying to work it out from insta stories. I've clearly had a quiet Christmas.

Because I am sad I went back to look for the thread. The final pages are hilariously full of bitter accusations and recrimination mixed up with posters wishing each other a very happy Christmas 😂
 
How did they know where to send the hamper? I think sending stuff like this really crosses boundaries but so does accepting it without acknowledging it. Couldn’t he have thanked them but said he was going to donate it to charity and give them a link to donate to a specified charity instead of spending money on him or something like that?
