I didn't realise Geo and Anton were touring together next year too, between Jan till the new Strictly season starts up in August he only has May off from touring. That's a horrific amount of touring even for a Pro dancer, he's going to wreck his body.

He’s clearly going to squeeze every drop from his tours etc. I’d expect him to also skip the pro dance recordings again. He’ll be expecting a good partner to get through till December..

He’s used to it. Whatever you think of him he’s a real grafter.

I don't see someone being a workaholic commendable. The hyper focus on work and money comes before everything especially family and your own health, often alongside a short fuse when anything comes between your goals and becoming real dull because your have zero life experiences that don't relate to work and the people you pay.

It doesn't matter how used to it you are, your body ages and no longer heals the same he's no longer in his 20s in sports unfortunately it's over by the time you are 40 for most but that might come sooner for him.

The problem is that dancers like all athletes are a bit stupid when it comes to pushing through niggles and injuries that become more than niggles and even worse injuries. Steroid injections, physio tape and anti-inflammatories can only buy you so much time. He had to dip out of the pre recorded group dances this year with an injury - and the smoking won’t help, either. increased risk of actual injury, longer recovery time.

No the smoking definitely doesn’t help, but so many dancers do ( Pasquale, Jojo, Karen as far as I know) . His work ethic comes from basically having to from childhood, due to lack of funds. So many of them are like this. They know their time as a Pro is limited and they have to make the most of it. Injuries are part of the package, they just spend a lot of time being strapped up by physios! Gio isn’t that old, Neil is more impressive at 41 and still going.

I can understand why the pros try to capitalise on their moment in the spotlight for as long as they can. They’re in the odd position of being famous because of actual talent - unlike so many celebs pushed onto our screens - but they also know that that fame has a time limit on it before they’re replaced with a younger professional and the only media opportunities open to them will be alongside ex-Love Islanders. Strictly is a machine and there’s always a talented, younger pro waiting in the wings to join the cast.

It must be scary when injuries start becoming more common and taking longer to heal from. Gio definitely didn’t seem to be supporting Vito but, being sympathetic to him for a moment, it must be difficult to see a new Italian pro dancer coming in and storming into two finals, winning the glitterball and gaining a large fanbase when it was only a few years ago that Gio was the hotshot new Italian pro. Now obviously a decent person would be able to check their ego and support a fellow colleague but I can at least understand that it would be difficult to see yourself being replaced and knowing the peak of your career is almost certainly behind you now.

It can’t be long before the show lets some professionals go especially on the women’s side where Lauren felt like a much needed fresh face after too long. I’d keep Lauren, Katya and Jowita and could happily see the rest replaced.

I get the impression Amanda likes to play the poor hard done to victim with what ever went down when she was more than likely the issue
I wonder: were Richie, Georgia, Laura and Ranvir also the issue?

Anyway, we'll probably never know as Strictly likes to lock any feuds in a vault. Plenty of the pros like/comment on Amanda's posts still so she doesn't seem to be a pariah...

Agree a new Italian pro on the scene that has been so successful with just two seasons.
I also can’t help but feel that (and just my opinion) that Vito & Ellie’s partnership, with her being from Manchester reminded Gio of him & Georgias partnership, you know when they just have chemistry. I reckon she was the one who got away for him.
