Is there something else as this seems fine to me - not dissing any of his partners but explaining that it's demanding for the pro to be a celeb's dance teacher, therapist, choreographer, friend etc which we all knew anyway.

I'm actually a bit disappointed as I expected him to have said something like, "Yeah it bleeping sucks being a pro, all my partners have been an absolute pain in the arse, needy fuckers, and I've fantasised about drop-kicking every single one of them."

Personally I don’t see anything wrong with this, but each to their own. Although it was a direct interview I do think the way these papers word things at times makes it seem more harsh than it actually was 🤣

If I remember correctly he never actually said anything bad or anything that wasn’t true 🤷🏻‍♀️

Kai is a brilliant pro and I think that’s proven in the fact they trusted him with Angela Rippon, who although divided opinions on here, was definitely viewed as the high profile celeb of this years cast. I hope he gets someone half decent next year as we have all seen what he can do, his choreography is some of the best on the show.

100% agree.

Kai is one of my favourite pros. I love watching him dance and I think he comes across as a genuinely lovely guy.

I thought at the time that the tone of his comments was very clinical/dispassionate for what had seemed a close partnership, so it was surprising. I remember when he and Gio FaceTimed AJ on NYE from their Saga holiday stripping for wealthy Italian ladies or whatever and seeming super friendly, then he was papped with The Rucksack, and that was that.
 
The Rucksack is not a codename for Nadiya! They were papped during the tour in 2022 and I vaguely remember that there were heated discussions among AJ and Kai fans about whether this was staged as Kai had his backpack on. Why did I think this was a Starbucks? It was the hotel bar...

BIB - Imagine if one of the pros went rogue and said something like that 😁

On a related note, I know we have said it before but Anton needs to stop with the supposedly funny stories about partners he has had.
 
Kai and Nadiya were at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton on Wednesday to watch Snow White. It's a wonderful pantomime, we went to see it last week.

Nikita having to support Layton through the social media nastiness, Jojo basically being a grief counsellor, Gorka last year being an emotional crutch for a marriage breakdown … it does seem to have ramped up in the last few series. Getting a celeb who just wants to have a bit of fun and dance a Tribute to Clearasil must be a breath of fresh air.
 
Oh god. I love Layton so much 😭❤️ I have to say I’m kinda surprised more popular Strictly couples haven’t thought to capitalise on their success in this way. Nice way to make a bit of money plus a really lovely way to interact with the fans rather than a boring meet & greet type thing..

I felt so inspired by Lakita that i'm setting one up with Nige inspiring meditation and hot tantric sex sessions to give us all something to take our mind off the cost of living/ways to stay warm for the less fortunate .

I was thinking the exact same thing myself. Do any of the pros run classes or workshops on their own? Touring classes would be a good alternative to theatre shows for those that don't do shows of their own.

Gio has just announced that he and Pasquale will be doing their dance classes around the country while they are on tour. Not sure if it was in the works already or inspired by Lakita...
