I didn't know about the drink driving and resisting arrest although I knew about the fights I was thinking Strictly must have allowed it because there was no police involvement. I really hope this wasn't a soft launch to see if the public had forgotten about his crappy ways.
THIS is the sort of guy we should be worried about on Strictly not someone like Layton who like to wear make up and skirts. :cautious:

I don't know the details but Tony Adams is a recovering alcoholic that has been open with struggles and continues to help those struggling recover and is actual decades away from his past. That really isn't the same as Danny, he is just nasty and never remorseful.

I agree she doesn't seem to have the best track record thus far of picking the best men out there.

The Strictly Christmas special's bar at least one contestant have been scrapping the barrel more and more every year since they did away with getting previous contestants to come back to take part.

Next year it would be nice to have old contestants for the 20th anniversary though. I’m still holding out for aj & kai to have the last dance, but they would actually have to be speaking to one another first. Nigel and Katya would be the other obvious pair to return.

Ooh interesting, did anyone else drop out due to injury/personal reasons? The boxer lady Nicola Adams - although I didn't enjoy her dancing at all to be honest.
 
Personally prefer returning contestants unless they are genuinely top signings. I can't see why you couldn't have got at least half of this year's Christmas lot on the main series. Though the only problem with returning celebs for Christmas specials is that to get a partnership reunited, the pro will have to be out early or benched.

I'd love Rose to come back with another pro to see DS explode.

I presume it's the fact they have zero interaction on SM - it's like Ranvir and Gio: his defenders can be all like 'how do we know they're not chatting/getting together in private?' but at a certain point if you never comment/like/take a pic together at the same event, it definitely starts to look like a duck.
