Do you know what? It pains me to say but I am OVERRR strictly, I am over the tit music choices, the singers who cannot sing the judges with their diabolical critiques and shocking scores, the manipulation of the audience of who to vote to be in the the dance offs, it's just turned into as bad as the X Factor was near the end. I don't sit down to watch any more with enjoyment!

In saying that, I'll still be back next week though as I'm a fuckin nosey twit who would be scared to miss out 🙄
I feel like the whole show needs a real shake up!

I remember when my cousin made her confirmation we were all in her house and out of nowhere she just turned round and said "wouldn't it be great if my Dad was here for this" I feel like that's how it is for kids who lose someone when they're so young.
I completely agree. My daughter was 7 when we lost my mum (I was 26) and she really misses her years on. She’s petrified of letting her down (even though she never could). I think 4 is very different. It is missing what you could have had and I totally get that. I grieve for that too. I think what’s hard is I don’t believe Bobby. I don’t believe he’s capable of anything but a goofy grin and doing as he’s told for popularity which is actually really sad

Just seen this on Twitter 🤣

I still don’t like Bobby but I thought the VT struck the right balance, he didn’t wax lyrical about her and instead themed it on how much he would love to have known her, with a good amount of focus on his Dad too.

No grief is ever the same, young and old, sudden or expected, but they are all just as valid and deep
Yes I’m sure that Bobby feels her loss lots which is why I’m uncomfortable with strictly using this as emotional manipulation. Bobby does appear to be quite detached and we have often commented on here that he is quite immature so I feel poking at this in the name of entertainment was so wrong. I really do hope he is ok and I am sure this week will have poking at lots of long repressed emotions. 😔

Starting to wonder if it needs a bit of competition again like it had with X Factor.

I'm am not suggesting bringing that shite back btw. Just that it perhaps its become complacent

I'd be fine with XF coming back if it takes the crazies (both the fans and producers) and SCD is back to the nice cozy Sat night entertainment show it was pre 2018/19.

SCD definitely got complacent though.

Thoughts for tonight:

- YES ELLIE YOU GAVE ME MY WOW DANCE AT LAST (why wasn't that a 40?!?!?!)

- Layton and Nigel both underscored, should have both been 36 at least imo.

- Annabelle was good but a bit too elegant

- I don't think Bobby's deserved two 10s, even putting aside my unease with the concept, but I absolutely can't abide contemporary so I'm probably still biased

- Angela was a bit stiff bless her, but she looked gorgeous

- I noted Bobby didn't look particularly convinced during the VT, and he didn't talk about Jade at all on the show itself

- Judges comments and scores are so inconsistent, Layon got a bit of a pasting but still got 34, although as I said I think it was worth more, and then Nigel got praised to high heaven an only got 2 more than last week???

- On a ligher note, I've got to wonder if the producers read here considering we got a Michelle appearance, Gio looking less like he's being held at gunpoint and Neil getting a beating 😂

I think Anton's 10 for Annabel beats Shirley's 10 for Eddie as the most insane score for the series. He thought that paso was better than Ellie's AT?? Jesus wept

I loved Nigel and Ellie but everyone else, nah (sorry Layton)

I can't quite explain it, but that rumba to that song was exactly what I needed it to be - camp, OTT, ridiculous - it gave me proper chills and I loved it

That was Ellie's best dance of the series. She seems lovely as a person, but I find her dancing a bit clinical and lacking feeling most of the time, but that was intense and fab. I don't know what Anton was wittering on about

Think it might be Angela and Layton in the B2. Not sure about that cha cha. Carlo's chaotic school disco choreography strikes again
