They need to sack off Tess, Slury Shirley, Motsi, Anton and all the singers (seriously, I heard dogs barking down the street when they were singing Celine Dion). There needs to be some fresh (and young!) blood put into this show, it's starting to feel old fashioned now. Maybe bump up one of the pros to judging - Karen maybe?

I completely agree. My daughter was 7 when we lost my mum (I was 26) and she really misses her years on. She’s petrified of letting her down (even though she never could). I think 4 is very different. It is missing what you could have had and I totally get that. I grieve for that too. I think what’s hard is I don’t believe Bobby. I don’t believe he’s capable of anything but a goofy grin and doing as he’s told for popularity which is actually really sad
I do think he misses her but I think it must be quite confusing for him. For example, my cousin or your daughter have family and friends that they know and trust to tell them things about the person they lost but Bobby would see posts from literal strangers that probably tell him things he never knew about Jade. How can you trust that what those people are saying is true?

6 votes to Layton over here. Actually got my husband to vote this week as I do think they are probably the most vulnerable after Angela.

I didn’t mind Bobby’s dance but literally everyone else was more emotional than him! I get it though, it must be complicated when you don’t remember the parent you lost. To his credit, other than the VT, he didn’t mention her. He thanked his family & friends and didn’t not remotely dwell on Jade. I wish Strictly hadn’t made it all about Jade. Why not dedicate it to his family & friends who have supported him since he very sadly lost his mum. I can’t help think he would have preferred that as per his Clauditorium speech!

Evening all. My rundown

Layton &Nikita: odd styling and the nerves were on show because it was ballroom again but still loved it.
Nigel & Katya: hated the song. Hated Katyas dress. But he did ok with what she threw at him. Bless his happy face afterwards.
Annabel & Jojo: I flipping loved that. Traditional. No faffing abaht. She did really well.
Angela & Carlos: iconic song with lacklustre choreography. Needed more hips.
Bobby & Dianne. I was fully waiting to hate this but I loved it. Felt a bit emosh afterwards.
Ellie & Vito. Hated the song. Agreed with Craig about it not feeling very intimate.
Craig’s scoring was stingy.

- I noted Bobby didn't look particularly convinced during the VT, and he didn't talk about Jade at all on the show itself
It's been mentioned on here before how Bobby generally doesn't talk about Jade that much and if he's asked about her then he tries to redirect the question. I think that's a big part of why it feels like this is coming from the producers.

Agreed and I really feel like it was strictly pushing the narrative rather than him

that's what I said. Dedicate it to the step mum he has had and the dad who brought two young kids up and grieved a wife that just died. Whatever we think of jeff he did bloody good for those boys

can’t believe people are saying horrible things about a woman who was someone’s mum who died from cancer. you can’t be any better of a person, racist or not.

You can separate the two things. I full accept that Jades death was very very sad. No-one deserves to die of cancer so young. No-one deserves to leave their children without a mum. And it’s heartbreaking for both those boys (although it’s good to see that they’ve grown up with fairly minimal trauma) However, I also acknowledge that Jade was a tit of a person. She was racist, a bully and quite stupid. I never liked her, I still don’t & I hate that people treat her as some kinda martyr. But her death was very sad.
