Completely agree. I had her go back on it so I could hear what was said and it wasn’t an accidental slip like I thought it would be. It was definitely on purpose, maybe not malicious but definitely intentional

I wonder if Cameron will just be quietly dropped. Although I think he's probably not able to do the tours because of his visa conditions. He was announced for it last year but then had to go back to SA and they drafted in a combo of Arduino and Jake Leigh. Perhaps because its a different company that runs the tour, his working visa doesn't transfer.

Yeah I think it would be a bit weird if he did an emotional leaving post after barely being on the show for a couple of years and not even managing a Christmas partner

I mean yeah people got to know and like him but a solid amount of his votes definitely came from the youtube fans.

100%, I remember there were articles at the time about how Joe fans tweeted they were creating multiple accounts to vote and how they'd found some sort of voting loophole. Let's not forget the sad wee Dianne fan who made hundreds of telephone votes last year - certain fanbases will go ham to vote and that's just how it is.
Of course, Joe's votes were definitely based on the quality of his dancing and, er, basketball bouncing...

I think people who dislike like him like to think that it was fans alone that got him to the final but I think a few hundred votes thats fans can contribute is nothing to the hundreds of thousands that are actually made in general.
I think his ballroom was definitely the better out of at least the boys that series.

Joe was that years Slightly Gawky Nice Young Man Who Has Never Danced Before who was only ever going to lose out to the Slightly Gawky Nice Young Lady Who Has Never Danced Before Partnered with Kevin From Grimsby.
Joe Sugg may have been seen as the "nice young man" but his dancing was nowhere near the other "nice young men" who made it to the final (Hamza, Jay, Joe McFadden, Harry, Louis, HRVY, John) so I did find his appeal baffling. The YouTube fanbase for sure boosted him but won't have been the sole reason he was there.
IMO, he'd have got lost in the shuffle and left a lot earlier if there was a really good male contestant that year with voter appeal. The men that year were pretty bad - Charles was great at latin but struggled at ballroom, Danny JJ was limited by age and didn't mesh with Amy and then Lee, Seann, Dr. Ranj & Graeme didn't stand a chance at the final.

2018 was set up for an all female final and female win after the last 3 series of the show all being won by men, no one can convince me otherwise
Don't know about an all female final (though maybe they saw Lauren making it until she butchered her latin) but definitely one that was designed for a female winner. Hence no real male contender, the 2 female ringers going to Pasha & Gio and the journey contestant going to Kevin and them creating a narrative that it was 'Kevin's year' to help get Stacey over the line.

I think Cameron is a one big question mark; I mean even Chloe Hewitt got a Christmas special partner.
I know everyone thinks it's visa issues but if Motsi, Oti and Johannes who came from South Africa are able to come over and have no problems then why is he having them?? I've got the feeling Strictly were strong armed into hiring him for some reason at this point.

This dance was so bizarre- everyone went on like it was amazing but she basically just ran around and got yeeted in the air, along with not getting the acting/characterisation at all. Just shite, and I felt like the only one that felt that way. I even preferred Joe Sugg’s Joseph megamix nightmare.

I came across this interview with Karen. She says she wants to stay on the show (no surprise). She also says nice things about Jayde so maybe she just couldn’t be bothered with any social media drama. I imagine her show with Gorka is pretty good, not sure how it sells, but a smaller tour than Gio’s.

Definitely agree. He’s made no effort to be a part of any tours which would at least give him “oh he was the one in x show I saw” if nothing else. He rarely even posts on social media. Even if the live tour/pro tour were selective he surely could’ve joined one of the more “established” pros for their tours. As bad as it is to say, don’t think anyone would notice if they just silently dropped him
I think both the network and the show want to keep it as diverse as possible and I get the impression from looking at couples in dance competitions that there is a lack of black ballroom/latin dancers and they struck gold getting Oti & Johannes. Many Asians and some from Latin American backgrounds but not many from Africa or of African heritage. So their options may have been limited and they might have taken a gamble on Cameron thinking he'd grow into it. Even DWTS in America has struggled with this.
He was signed up for the pro tour last year and was on all the promotional materials etc but then couldn't do it and had to return to SA.
I'm not sure what the situation is with Johannes and Oti, perhaps their visas have different conditions. Oti for example is married to a German which would have given her full access to the UK. And Johannes said last year that he couldn't add Ireland to his tour because of travelling out of the UK. Think he did Belfast.
