I was happily scrolling through Insta when all of a sudden my groin explodes, my hormones twitch uncontrollably and I find myself legs akimbo just awaiting that groin stretch. If ever there’s a post to save this was it. 🥰😂🤤

Rose is a real 'Strictly success story'. Without a doubt the exposure she got on the show and the way she dealt with it must have opened doors for her. Kudos to her for making solid choices with the offers she has accepted too and not falling down the 'Z' list celeb rabbit hole taking cheap promotional gigs instead of holding out for the serious acting she wants to do.

Absolutely- there was definite fan chat last spring/summer that she wasn’t announcing enough stuff/wasn’t visible enough and she didn’t have a post-strictly plan when actually she’s made great choices (and obviously has a good agent): Josie Rourke directed west end role, BAFTA breakthrough programme and her own documentary (oh and whatever she’s doing in dressing gowns in Sicily with Gio and Anton 😆).
 
Oh he gave her confidence or whatever and she has now 'blossomed'. TBF Strictly did give her a massive profile and he was a big part of that, but her acting achievements are her own and hopefully now the majority of shipping has stopped (I think?) the Strictly link can recede and she can enjoy her own success as an actor.

I know nothing about snooker but apparently Shaun Murphy is desperate to to do the show?

I was watching Death in Paradise the other day and thinking that Tahj Miles who plays Marlon would be a good call for Strictly- funny, good personality and likely a decent dancer but a young guy who isn’t a children’s tv presenter or a DJ. It would probably help him build his profile too.

Marlon is the best character on Death in Paradise. I love him, and he's adorably cute
 
You can tell we're in a Strictly slow news period when there are people on DS saying Shania Twain (and Pink!) Is a possibility for Strictly and Neil is the most likely partner for her

In the unlikely event of Shania Twain ever doing Strictly, I feel like there's more chance of me partnering her than Neil

Completely agree about Tahj Miles though! He would be great

There’s no wonder people get disappointed with the reveals is there … in their heads they have cast Shania, P!nk, Emma Thompson, Dawn French, Andy Murray and Patrick Stewart. Let’s be fair, the third member of The Saturdays, someone who wore a red shirt in a Star Trek film and was killed at the First beam down, someone who once made it past the first round of Wimbledon, an Eastender and someone who once shared a stage with a sock puppet is always going to be a bit of a blow.

Some people are laughably unrealistic about reality tv casting - on The Masked Singer thread, straight-faced suggestions have included Ed Sheeran, JK Rowling, and Christina Aguilera. 🙄

Yes, three people who are probably absolutely champing at the bit to sign up to a low-rent itv reality show.

Surely we should be hearing about the pros soon? Usually by now any departures have started to be announced, although last year the new pros weren’t announced until a lot later than usual. I’m pretty sure it’s usually March but I definitely remember it being later last year, I originally had a feeling Karen and maybe Gio would go but I don’t think we will see any departures this year.

Just had a look back - 31st of March last year. Aljaz announcement was 28th March and Oti's was 22nd Feb

If no one's leaving, hopefully they might announce it fairly soon
