All the front-runner couples have good performance chemistry (hard to get far without it) but I agree I don't really see any blatant romance chemistry!

Papers are always like "ohh that dance was very romantic 😉" and...yes! They've been rehearsing all week to make it so, this tells us nothing necessarily lol

Vito was Vito from the off. With his lyrical genius and hairy chest and carrying on dancing when he ate too much pasta in the faffing about during a dance. The possessed Abba jive. The fever of the Saturday night! His genuine friendship with Fleur brought that out more. It was funny that Fleur's husband was texting him smiling in bed too. Did I go too Lady Lav there?

Ellie is only 22 so 9 years difference. I can't see a relationship as such but good for her if she's getting some.
 
I agree, I don’t see any romantic chemistry between them at all. I think they are good friends, which shockingly a boy and a girl can be. I felt exactly the same about AJ & Kai last year, I was baffled at what people were seeing between them but wow were some people insistent they were in love 🙈 I’m amused Kai said she was annoying! Must have broke their shippers hearts.
 
Ellie has some competition - Layton is shooting his shot😄

I agree that there’s good chemistry with all the leading couples (bar Dianne/Bobby but I just find them a bit awkward as I can’t dispel the thought that Dianne is trying to fend him off a bit).
I have to say whoever did the casting this year did really well as even Angela/Kai, Annabel/JoJo, Adam/Luba, Angela and Carlos and ofc Krishnan/Lauren obviously get on really well. Amanda/FR being the glaring exception!

Watching the launch show as I missed the first few shows of the series, and I've just seen the judges dance - I'm very impressed with Motsi and Anton, and quite surprised by how stiff and unnatural Craig and Shirley look! I know they're older and dance less now but I honestly thought Shirley was probably on a par with Angela R 🤭 also, Motsi having Nikita, Vito and Graziano fighting over her during the dance - lucky girl!!! 🥵

they both look great here. Ellie is really #blossoming and I hope her cheating ex (who’s a dancer but clearly on a low level) is weeping into his cornflakes watching her on SCD

I notice that they didn’t show as many takes of Layton and Nikita so I dread to think of the chaos that ensued 😂
This is probably a daily occurrence 😂

He is! I've said this before. If you watch their first couple of ITT interviews and then compare their last three, Nikita is like a different person. I've not seen him so animated. He's positively glowing 😆

The way he screams in that challenge is everything 😄 For some reason, Adam's first reaction cracks me up, too.

I didn't see the launch show but Shirley is still a great dancer, well beyond Motsi's league, despite the age difference - you can see why she was such a great champion. Anton still dances somewhat regularly so isl in decent dance shape. Craig hasn't danced professionally for years, was a musical theatre dancer in any event and I think his hip replacements make his movements a little restricted/stiff.

That's fair enough - for some reason the choreography made it look like Shirley was being dragged around and didn't show off her skill, whereas Motsi had more energy. I think I was just expecting more given how cutting and rude she can be as a judge 😅

Still watching the show and Ellie's reaction to getting Vito as a partner was so cute! And Annabel telling Johannes how much it means to her having him as a partner, and Claudia asking him to look after her, made me all tearful 😢
