Angela R would probably get to Blackpool anyway, TPTB don't need to be so blatant about wanting her there :LOL:
How do you dance to You Can Call Me Al? Won't it just be dad dancing? Jay won't want to be in the audience for that 😁

Hamza and Helen were always in the top three last year, though. Year before, Rose by a country mile.

Thanks and yeah that's really interesting tbh I hadn't thought of likes reflecting votes but if the stats speak for themselves it could mean there will be some real shock exits soon .
 
2 Couple's Choices this week. It's good they've actually been quite sparing with them this year, only 2 so far and 2 on Saturday. They always did them too early. Then again last year could have felt that way as Jayde turned every dance into a Couple's Choice and never even got to do an actual one. I think they should keep Krishnan and Annabel out the dance off. Annabel seems to have a strong vote.

I think the dance off will be between Adam and Angela S, I see her struggling with the Samba and somehow she's become forgettable. She also has the Irish problem of the Republic of Ireland not being able to vote. Who goes will be interesting as Adam is a judges pet.

I liked the dance battles they showed on ITT. 2 or more couples doing the same routine at the same time, it would really show the difference between them. Imagine a Nigel vs Bobby hip off!

That Bobby hip cam actually showed that they weren't that great and not completely in sync with Dianne. Bobby’s could be a disaster but he'll probably get the vote and judges scores. I don't think he has the strength for an AT to support and lead Dianne. Why didn't the judges mention his facial expressions and counting last week, just like they never mention his arse sticking out.

Also on the Vito front he's definitely manic in the faster dances. Such puppy energy. I think the wig possessed him in that ABBA jive. Ellie is getting a real work out trying to keep up with him. But he's just so loveable and passionate about what he does and seems so grateful that he's getting to do what he loves and share that joy with non-dancers who then also fall in love with dancing.

I see they have given Adam the commemorative Ugo Monye 'we don't want to risk you dropping out and leaving us with a 2 person final' exit rumba. Agree about Angela S being at risk of a dance off too.

Re the pros leaving, I'm not sure any of them will. Karen's been there a long time and seems to be going through a rough patch, but would she want to leave Strictly on a sour note? And all those damage limitation stories in the press about Giovanni makes me think he doesn't want to quit Strictly yet. Especially when he has a warehouse full of aftershave to shift!

I'm not getting leaving vibes from Gorka either. Actually, he seems pretty happy right now (compared with when he looked quite down at his early exit in 2021). He got on well with his partner, and then got to go home early to spend time with his family so I doubt he has any complaints

The female pro line up looks quite crowded now though, so it will be interesting to see if they keep Michelle on (maybe if Karen does leave)

That’s exactly what I was thinking when I saw those dances. I was certain Layton would be able to out dance anyone in a potential semi final dance off, but if they are using up all of the dances he’s best at so early and he stuck with some dodgy ballroom towards the end then I think one of the others could definitely beat him.
