I’m the same; I’m not keen on him at all, but with Faye (especially) & Georgia, and in some earlier routines with Michelle, he produced some really memorable dances.
 
I googled 'Fosse bum sniffing' but only got some hits for bestiality videos (!). I think that was a Gilkison fever dream.
