I choreograph a lot of them in my head when they come on the radio. This one works well.

Ha ha I thought I was the only loon that choreos a cha cha cha to what I think is a right tune!
The sambas I've danced in sainsburys and the tangos in tescos to background music

No props, no theming, no faffing about and he had never danced before and was crippled with shyness at the beginning of the series. Mark was the real deal.

I'm not good at posting links but Mark's Argentine Tango has never been surpassed for me!!!

And the no stupid costumes is what sticks out for me when you look at old clips.

Now, I’m slightly biased as my young daughter has declared Zara as her fav this year (we had tears when she was in the first dance off ) but I don’t think the song choice helped her this week either? It felt like they were moving too slowly for it, which made her look even more stiff. I couldn’t dance my way out of a paper bag though, so am probably talking pure shite

I usually think Karen forgets about her dance partners after they have been eliminated but I think she actually liked Eddie her instapost was nice (especially compared to jayde )

I also can’t hear Bad Moon Rising without thinking of their Halloween Charleston. Does anyone else associate songs with strictly routines?

I recon we’ll get a Wednesday dance next week, the Jenna Ortega version.. quite a good little song in the TV series that she dances too!

I have watched since the first show and all the clips you have shared just shows how the costume budget has been slashed. If some of,or all, the pros used their own dresses and tails it does show how many now are not fully from the 'ballroom' and more linked to Burn the Floor franchise etc.

How did Bastille manage to mangle their own song so badly? If I closed my eyes I'd have thought the Strictly 'singers' responsible.

Speaking of Halloween music, what do you think are the chances of a paso to Dragula by Rob Zombie?

I thought them having rock lobster by the B52’s (Dan and Nadia) a few years ago was a bit edgy and cool for them so doubt Rob Zombie will be brutally murdered played but you never know

I still remember when there was an incident where a microphone got tangled in their salsa and they were allowed to dance again, they were so good together

Every Halloween I hope someone will finally do a Tango to the True Blood theme and every year I'm disappointed. There hasn't ever been one on Strictly, has there? When I google I can only find one sadly fairly shit one from the American DWTS.

I don't care who does it or how badly the singers mangle it, I just want one.

I get genuinely stressed out trying to decide whether my Strictly Halloween tango will be to this, or ’Bad Things’ by Jace Everett, or ‘Sucker’ by the Jonas Brothers.

My Paso is sorted, though: ‘Paint it Black’.

You just need to wait until I become famous. I promise I’ll choose that one out of my three possibles, especially for you

The Rebel Yell Jive a few pages back sent me down a rabbit hole of watching old pro numbers, nice antidote to the odd mess of today's one (seriously why was Carlos dressed as a hybrid of Andy Warhol and Austin Powers, why was Lauren wearing a tinfoil swimming cap and w h y did Carlos literally kiss Karen's arse, was it a metaphor for something? )

Ikr, truly horrendous, it's one of the only pro dances I've never rewatched even a single time. How does it have around twice the views of most of the other pro dances that series? Can only be from people trying to work out what the hell they're looking at, surely.

There are some good ones, but at least 50% of them are just some 'high concept' bullshit first with hardly any actual dancing. And half the time the concept doesn't make any sense. At least last week the story was clear, even if I'm not the biggest fan of that style of contemporary, but what the hell was supposed to be happening this week?

I got to the end of the dance, thought 'I can't have just seen what I thought I saw, right?' rewound it, and nope. I did just see exactly what I thought I saw.

And that's even without taking into account how Carlos is the fruitiest of fruits and makes Johannes looks masc.

It's Halloween themed and it's Giovanni but I really liked this one

Loved it. Repeating myself but as much as I've now gone totally off Gio, he has had some really memorable dances. I was thinking about it again at 5am when I couldn't sleep, and I can't recall any of the some of the current pros previous dances.
