Sorry if this was discussed during the show but just watching Katya and Nigel with Claudia after their dance and Neil is mouthing something when Katya said she just went along with Nigel and she wasn’t sure what she was doing for a minute. Did anyone work out what Neil was saying? It seemed like he was taking the mick out of her but could be wrong 😑

I may be remembering this all wrong but my recollection is that it was said that she was the one who had left Kevin (for an opera singer, I think) and she was certainly perfectly peppy in that series (with Charles Venn). Kevin was quite hang-dog in interviewsbut as pushy with his celeb as ever.

I don’t mind couples choice when they do a proper dance (best one imo was Faye and Fanny Rats). But when it’s just twatting about to Beyoncé I cba.
 
Managed to have free time this morning from going up and down from the hospital visiting my friend so I watched last nights show on iplayer. So I thought I would do a quick breakdown review:

Annabel - decent charleston could have finished off her lines better - 7

Nigel - was better out of hold than in; there 2 clear mistakes . Katya was almost crying in the clauditorium; just mentioning that as other pro's seem to get lambasted when they do it. - 6

Eddie - I'm just going to ask a question for this dance: For the people who said they couldn't wait to see Karen as the ''latin queen'' combined with Eddie's hips and it was going to be a great partnership - How are you doing?

Krishnan - I think I would have liked it more if there was more actual quickstep content in it; it wasn't their fault really as the song didn't really suit it. Lauren using the dance around him as much as possible technique; It was still good for a non dancer - 7

Angela S - The song was a bit naff so I give them a pass for that; a few stumbly moments and being honest I think Carlos choreography wasn't up to scratch. Still a good effort. - 7
PS. I've been feeling this the past couple of weeks but something about their partnership isn't clicking for me. It's like they're two comedians telling 2 different types of jokes; both good but not the same.

Ellie - Very good dance overall; I was worried about the song but it worked. - 10
Ps. I wonder if something is going on between them?

Layton - First of all the pro's dont choreograph salsa's so for everyone giving Nikita praise he didn't choreograph it; on the flip side it didn't give me a salsa feel at all it was more like street dance which obvs isn't their fault. The lifts were fantastic and it was danced well in tune. - 10
PS. Watching them dance doesn't really make me feel anything because I know its always going to be fantastic as its two professional dancers dancing together. Also dare I say I saw some smugness there tonight.

Bobby - I'll say it once and i'll say it again Dianne is probably one of the best ballroom choreographers; obviously the song and theme suited the dance well. - 8

Adam - Just meh; him and Luba were barely in time throughout the dance. He needed more oomph. - 6
PS. People talk about other couples getting favouritism for different reasons but from the judges comments alone Adam doesn't seem to be getting any criticism.

Zara - Sort of like Angela S in the sense that the song didn't really match the dance however Angela did better in her dance. It was quite a dull dance and she doesn't really 'perform' the dance just dances by numbers. - 6

Angela R - Great for a woman of her age; felt she was getting carried around a bit though. - 8
Ps. Wonder what slow dance she will get next week?


Extra notes:
- Amy looked lovely. Glad to see her back.
- Gio had a face like a slapped arse.
- Hopefully for her sake alone this will be Karen's final year.
-Wish I could get my hair and roots done but a worrying about a loved one and working full time takes precedent.
 
Completely off topic but Nadiya has worn an oh polly dress every single week and I think some of the other females have worn them at times modified for dances/whilst watching. I think it’s interesting how in recent years they’re getting clothes from ‘high street’ and online and adapting them as costumes where as years ago it was always a costume each week!

I like Nigel but I want to like him more, and I want him to be better than he has been since the first week. I'm not feeling too enthused about the win probably being between Nigel and the boy wonder, who is becoming so infatuated with Dianne that it's kind of awks to watch.

Come through Ellie, she should be in the final. I also thought Vito was going in for the snog at the end of their dance. Showmance or? 👀

What has happened to Angela S? She hasn't really lived up to expectations.

Krishnan is a joy, I just wish he was a better dancer so he could rival the contenders. Excuse me while I go all Tess like, but look at his little happy face 🥰

The joy on hia face is what I'm here for. I love to see it especially when pre-strictly beginning I was sure he'd be out first 🙈

Glad I wasn't the only one who found it sooooooo dull yesterday 😴
Was a very underwhelming show ...knew layton would get tens when it was announced be doing a salsa so wasn't even shocked with that 🤷🏼‍♀️
Angela S is definitely going backwards now... ( though very harshly critiqued last night 🤦🏼‍♀️)
Love Ellie and Krishnan...bored of Angela R and her flippin leg lifts and being walked around by Kai 💤💤 ..here's hoping she has a nice fast samba or salsa for Halloween week 🤣🤣🤣🙏🏼

This time next year if someone mentions ‘Eddie’ and ‘Strictly’ to me, I will literally have no idea who they are talking about. I forget he’s there every week until he actually appears.

Same with that EastEnders fella who danced with Amy. I’d even managed to lose the haunted bumblebee Halloween dance from my memory until someone mentioned it on here 🤷‍♀️

I have that problem with Annabel. Even when she's dancing it's like I zone out and have a wait "wait, who is that?" moment.
