Ah well, another year of not listening to the podcast then 😆 not that it was ever a great listen anyway, but still a bit surprised they haven't given it a refresh with someone new

No great shock Dianne isn't benched 😒. I originally thought she's most likely to get Hamza but now reckon it could be Matt Goss - I feel like she was *supposed* to have a good run last year with Robert so they may want to give her another chance with a more recognisable face
 
Ugh. I'll have to make a cuppa when her and that naff red hair are on. Still, if she does well, this might be her last year at least? Silver linings...

I was looking at new pro Michelle's insta yesterday and I'd love her to have a partner. She's gorgeous and very dynamic/expressive but also seems to be a good teacher.
 
Another bit of info from Ellie Taylor's stories. It sounds like they've started doing those little pre-launch show social media VTs where they talk about their favourite dance, what sort of partner they want etc

honestly, i would actually love that. i’ve always thought they should do some kind of “celebrities who you didn’t know could dance” special for children in need or something (aidan turner used to dance latin in competitions for example). if they made it clear from the start i think it would still be fun, but they probably couldn’t make a whole series out of it.

Oh I really hope Hamza isn’t lumbered with Dianne - I’ve gone all in for him so I want him to have someone fabulous, as no one else is really tickling my fancy apart from the Ellies.

I would LOVE that. I don’t mind a ringer, though many of my favourite contestants have been decidedly non-ringery, but seeing what the pros could do with full rein on their creativity would be my perfect tv show because I’m a huge dance fan.
 
An entire 13 week series of ringers would be tiresome and boring tbh. A one off or limited 3/4 episode mini series as part of maybe sport relief/children in need etc would be interesting.
 
If we did have an All-Star type thing, I wonder if it's better to go for original or new pairings. Had a look at the show in Norway which is doing All-Stars this year (think they've ran out of celebs!) and there are barely any reunited pairings. In some cases, they've literally swapped partners around.
