I am hoping he will start posting when the tour actually kicks off. He has been so silent! I have seen FB speculation that this is because he is secretly dating either Molly or Luba. But I think it's more likely that we forget that for these guys social media can feel like work - he posted loads of stories during the series but the goal of that was to get people to vote for them (that went well..) so maybe he can't be arsed atm.
 
Just to add to the 'where the heck is H & J' convo.

Hamza and Jowita were on This Morning today, talking about their Strictly win, then mentioning the arena tour at the end.

Surely they should be announcing which dances each couple are doing on the tour by now. 😑

I just think that Kai could have been more positive about AJ. She has always been positive about him since the show. Honestly, I don't think that the sun shines out of AJ's arse. Since I was a fan of their partnership, I have noticed the difference in their attutiudes to each other publicly.

Last year was an anomaly in that the BBC had a lot to gain from the Rose win and had invested heavily in it. They had whole adverts focused around her as demonstrating their inclusivity. And there was the awards show season to promote with the hope of a BAFTA. And that's not even counting the stuff organised by Gios PR company.

In most other years, the celebs aren't as useful to the BBC once they've won and life resumes as normal.
 
My favourite bit of Strictly post-final press was when someone at BBC Breakfast was clearly as confident as I was that Danny Mac would win because he was booked on for the Monday straight after the final. The traditional winner’s interview instead involved the presenters politely navigating the fact that he’d lost before quickly segueing into discussing his future acting jobs instead.

I don’t think he dislikes her and they are probably civil and say hello at events, but some partnerships just don’t stay friends regardless of how close they seemed on the actual series (especially if they were involved in a “showmance”). I get the vibes that the insane fangirls probably pushed him away from her a bit and i don’t blame him if that’s the case.

I know that some partnerships don't stay in touch. I don't see why the fangirls would have pushed Kai away from AJ. Not all of the shippers were over the top. Maybe AJ encouraged the shipping more but Kai definitely played his part.
 
I totally think Kai could have been put off by nutters on twitter and other platforms watching their every move and taking every social media like or interaction as gospel that something was going on. A showmance is fun until it's not. Also I imagine when his relationship with Nadiya started blossoming, it became a bit off putting to have to pretend to be into someone else.

Also, there's no need to keep saying "not all shippers" and "not everyone on the appreciation thread" - I don't think anybody is tarring everybody with the same brush but we all know there were those who to this day took things way too far.

Hamza was talking to Kaye on her radio show this morning, and she asked him about him disappearing after the final. He said he went home to recharge his batteries and go off grid and have some quiet time, so it sounds like it was his choice not to do any press after the final.
He's also doing the Salsa and American Smooth Foxtrot on tour, so that's his showdance I'm guessing? His showdance jacket was on the clothes rail on the tour's stories, and this is a good opportunity for him to do his showdance without any mistakes.
 
Did Tyler really say on his Instagram stories they’re talking about his vasectomy on the Kiss breakfast show?? Wasn’t sure if he’s joking 🙃

When it was revealed he was dating Nadiya (or at least rumoured) Kai used to have so many comments under his instagram slating him and saying how dare he do this to AJ etc. Whether that was the entire fanbase or just one person it doesn’t really matter, seeing that combined with abuse towards his new girlfriend probably pissed him off. I know there was some crossovers between people on that thread and comments towards them both on social media as well which was ridiculous. It was harmless and a bit of fun for people to be shipping them throughout the series (pretty sure this is when they both played up to it, don’t remember seeing anything after the show though that would imply they were together) but this should have ended as soon as he went public with Nadiya, yet it still continued for months and even now people are still going on about it.
