LL is insinuating on DS that the pros don't get any control over their choreo any more and have a lot of input from Gilkison and team. Is that true? I can't fathom how pro dancers (who let's face it, likely have a bit of ego on them) would let someone else interfere considerably with their work. And all of the pros do still seem to have their styles - a Giovanni routine never looks the same as an Amy routine for instance.

It's true to the extent of Showdances, last year he was involved in all 3.
However they still appear to have the same amount of control over the traditional 10 dances.
They have always had the right to bring in others to help either for demo, support of choreo purposes this is where the (false imo) rumour Neil choreo's Katyas routines sprung from because she would often invite him to the rehearsals in the early years.
Even in the dances done by the outside teams the Pros do the majority of the teaching and still have a say in the elements to put their own stamp on it, like Jowita and Hamza's salsa containing a lot of the lifts that she has performed with her former partner Michael.

Back in the old days they seemed to have a lot more input to the music and theming which is a real loss and shows the decline in some ways away from proper dancing towards more of a mini stage show.

Overall, I think that most people liked Fleur's CC and were happy for her to get full marks. Plus, the views of the dance on Youtube are growing nicely. At this stage, I think that it might overtake her AT as her most watched dance. With the Rumba, I think that most people will be interested in it because of the chemistry that was between them in the AT. I have also seen people excited by the song choice.
Some people on DS just have a weird dislike of Fleur.

These threads move so fast! Sorry if this has been discussed already..is ITT pre recorded ? Just watched last night's and Rylan never mentioned Kym ?

I accept couples choice’s are always overmarked and she’s really nice so glad she got 40 (and not Will). It was so overproduced that it would happen though.
Rumba struggles for good marks, don’t think there has ever been a 40. Fleur will have to contain all of her power and control all her movements slowly which is incredibly difficult, the CC was designed to show off her strengths.

Libertango - excellent instrumental music that is properly fitted to an AT.

I wonder how he'll get on with the *checks note as I know they're not called flicky legs* ganchos.

Lets hope he’s dressed in something that allows us to see said ‘flicky legs’, his outfit in the regular tango whilst quite striking, very much smothered his footwork.

On that note- just interested musing, he is always fully covered in his outfits (see deadful Jurassic Park outfit & random motorbike boiler suit). Possible personal/cultural choice?

Yeah, I saw that a rumba has never got a 40, not even Rachel Stevens! Molly got 37 which is pretty good, but I am anticipating a 40 for someone on Sat, possibly Hamza.

No, Rachel Stevens has come the closest (although she did reprise it umpteen times in the hope). Craig always held out … until a Christmas Special when he cracked and gave it a 10. Anticipation was high … and then Alesha gave a 9 :D

Does anyone know how accurate the exit polls are? Fleur was second from top after her samba but 3rd from bottom after her CC, so I’m not sure most people loved it or maybe they were put off by the over marking? There wasn’t much between her and Will though so, if the polls aren’t a load of rubbish, he could defo find himself in the dance off this week. Not that I’m trying to manifest it or anything…

Same here! 🤣

I’m on a long boring train journey so I’m off to YouTube it…

Edit: I’ve watched it- as expected, technically excellent but with all the sexual tension of a trip to Tesco. I vaguely remember Karim’s flowery trews and polo neck outfit. If you are doing the AT in a polo neck, you really aren’t getting it.

I don't think I really get the rumba, and I very much doubt Fleur will be able to imitate Shirley.. I'll just be happy with raw sex and shirtless Vito!

Is there any chance for no couple to go home this week and two lower scored couples leaving next?

She was 3rd from top on dodgy Dave's poll this week so not sure how accurate they all are..

To be fair, Jurassic Park was Movie Week and Tango was Halloween

StrictlyHistory suggests not.
I don’t think an elimation has been cancelled when someone has taken a bye/withdrawn.

If you look at the reaction to Fleur's CC across social media, it was mostly liked by viewers. From last week's dances, it is the most watched dance. The Strictly post for the dance on Instagram has been played 822,452 times with over 50,000 likes. The dance had some kind of impact.
I take the results of the polls with a pinch of salt because they don't take into account how many times people are voting for the couples. Also, not all of the viewers vote in the polls.

There's no way to tell how accurate they are but I think apart from the week Matt left, the bottom two have been two of the bottom three in both polls, so they can be a reliable indicator of the least popular (as annoying as Dave is his poll seems to have quite a wide reach so might be a bit more reflective of popularity?)

I would never rely on them, but they're just an interesting snapshot of how some people are voting
