My YouTube app has just suggested that I watch a video that one of those D’Amelio morons uploaded of her and Mark Ballas doing something called the Vietnamese Waltz on DWTS 🙄 stay in school, kids.

And D'Amelio sadly won the whole thing as well. She could dance but felt like a total damp squib of a win.

Oh my God! We have the exact same phobia and the exact same love of Gorka!!
This was my immediate thought when I read about Amy being locked in a room with a dog, if it was a bird I would actually pass out. A pigeon landed on my head in London once and I did pass out. Very amusing for all my mates. Not so much for me!!

Oh god, you have my sympathy. I once locked myself in the toilet of my future mother in law's house for ages because one of her chickens wandered inside. This was also the same day I met my future mother law. Great first impression 😂

I must admit I didn't realise they were still testing. I hope people don't get annoyed at a bye at this last stage, especially as Kim seems to have gained more public support over these last few weeks.

Oh that sucks for her, I hope she's not too ill. I might have imagined this, but is the cut off for byes musicals week? I have a vague memory of it being discussed on DS ages ago

Ah that’s not good.
She was doing CC as well, wasn’t she?
wonder if she will be able to do it next week … weren’t Tom and someone else who had Covid last year* allowed to do their missed week dance the week they came back?

edit
* Judi?

I think next week is musicals week, so unless they can adapt the same choreo to a different song it might not be feasible to do it next week (unless there’s a musical that uses Chaka Khan. Which there totally should be)

All 4 of the finalists had dance experience so regardless it was going to be a ringer who won. DWTS don’t care as much about whether or not a contestant has any dance experience or not, can you imagine charli on strictly ffs the british public would dislike her 😭 she done some of the best dances i’ve ever seen on any of these shows so fair play to her.

Nothing to do with dance experience, just that she wasn't very interesting beyond being able to dance. I don't really get TikTok and it's appeal.

Not usually a drag fan but I'd have liked Shangela to win.

Yes, Judi was doing her Let's Get Physical Cha Cha in week 5, and they moved it to Halloween week and made it spooky by adding exercising skeletons 😁
I think Tom was supposed to do the VW in week 2, and then he did it later on in the series, they might put off Kym's CC until the semi-final if she gets there, I don't think there's a Chaka Khan musical 😁

I was actually looking forward to Kym's CC- I was afraid she would do contemporary but I was pleasantly surprised by the concept.
Am I right that so far there have been no wishy washy contemporary CCs? What a nice change!

You're right, we haven't had one! Molly probably would have chosen contemporary had it not been Production's desire to pigeon hole her into that awful Grange Hill whateveritwas.

I thought it was no byes in quarter or semi finals week … I don’t know why … so that’s, right then - this is the last week for a bye?

i‘m imaging Will Mellor sat with his mardy face remembering how poorly he was and how he soldiered on manfully (just because it’s not Covid, doesn’t mean you aren’t a big brave boy)

id completely forgot about musicals week … and there absolutely should be a Chaka Khan juke box musical. Get writing BennyandBjorn.

Very unpopular opinion: I don't think last year's Strictly was as amazing as people make out. I can't remember any of John's dances apart from the paso. Rose did some absolutely gorgeous ballroom but was a one trick pony. I thought AJ was the most likeable and the most versatile dancer so I wasn't really invested in the final when she had to pull out.

I think it was definitely better than this year, just not leagues ahead like a lot of people think. Imo what this year needs is more ringers and less sob stories.

I guess it will depend on the dances - if Fleur's rumba is a knicker-flashing disaster there isn't much option!

Poor Kym - I've already seen dickheads on Twitter saying 'why was she testing?' and 'why isolate?' um, her dad is terminally ill and having chemo, you divs. Also hope it hasn't gone round the pros and celebs..
