Two foxtrots, two cha chas yet no jive or paso tonight - a bit more variety might have perked things up this evening. We're still fairly early on in the competition so there are loads of dances to choose from

Spreading the dances about just seems like such an easy thing to get right, so why do they keep cramming the same ones into one show?
 
You guys crack me up every week, I love this thread 💖.

For me personally I would enjoy strictly more if we had harsher, unbiased judges. I want strict critiques on the dancing, not personal attacks. I want it to be taken seriously as a dancing show, I feel they are too soft on the contestants which makes it low stakes.
 
It’s such a shame they waste jives and Charleston’s for early in the competition, so we end up with 2 cha cha’s & 2 fox trots (not the most exciting imo) it felt like quite a flat show tonight. Some people got stuck by the theme - Ellie & Nikitas foxtrot was incredibly slow and frankly dull. Not sure what James & Amy’s was about!

Yes to all of this and just do the results show the same night. We all know it’s filmed the same night anyway! It’s not even about spoilers, it’s that I cringe every time someone on the Sunday show says “last night” or “on Saturday” cause I know they’re still on the same Saturday night.

The results pretence is a bit silly. I have forgotten the exact details now but when Jayde was on ITT on Monday she almost slipped up on the pretence about when the results happen but Rylan smoothed things over. 😁

Just caught up on tonight's show. Tony was fab-u-lous dawwwwling 😁. I was delighted to see him getting good scores from the judges. I loved the judges costumes. I thought Kym was very good, and Fleur was just enjoying life so much, I thought she looked amazing.

Some of the costumes were godawful. Poor Nikita. And Vito. Jeepers, who did they piss off to end up dressed like that. Johannes - omg, I love that man more every week, he looked stunning 😁.

I thought James looked totally stressed in the part where Davood (be still my beating heart 💓) appeared. Loved seeing Scott Maslen too.

No idea re dance off but guessing James and maybe Ellie S. Oh and as others have said forget the bloody CGI, it's annoying.

I was delighted that Tony did so well, but also that the judges were respectful. I was getting really irritated that they just sat there mocking him each week when he was clearly trying his best.

Yeah I'd like if it was actually an achievement to get a 9 or a 10. Still giving them out for any old nonsense. A 10 has to be for great performance, entertainment AND perfect dance technique only.
