Did anyone else see Jayde’s stories where she’s screengrabbed a tweet from William Hill saying she’s favourite to go this week? She’s put ‘the bookies are fatphoboc’ 🙃. I genuinely hope it was tongue in cheek.
Now, I'm not a betting woman so I don't really understand odds and all that but doesn't she become favourite to leave because more people are putting money on her to leave? It's not just the bookies deciding that she's the favourite?

jessie wallace did strictly?!?!?!

(there are so many contestants i have no memory of 🤣)

In your defence, she really wasn’t very memorable at all!

Well, indeed. Bookies don’t just randomly make up odds off the top of their head: betting patterns are analysed, forums/online polls/social media likes are looked at to judge popularity, algorithms are applied, etc.

William Hill didn’t just hold a staff meeting this morning and say ‘yep, she’s fat, so let’s make her the favourite to leave this week for that reason alone’.

I’d assume (or at least hope) she’s bright enough to know that betting odds aren’t randomly made up on the basis of a prejudicial opinion, so hopefully Jayde’s post is a joke that fell a bit flat. 🤷‍♀️

Yup, Bookies very rarely come out on the side of ‘oops, lost a bit of money on that one’. 🤦‍♀️

Carlos' boots on ITT are giving me the ick...and the hat.
He got given the hat by Matt Goss as a leaving present, maybe? 😂

Also, why is Janette giving stats on Alesha Dixon as a comparision, neither Carlos nor Molly were out of nappies when Alesha won. I don't think it's particularly fair to the lass to do that to her, what's the poor lass supposed to say? And Molly was chatting along perfectly amiably and interestinglu about the difference in the Latin dances beforehand; it dropped a massive boulder in her train of thought.

Now it's a tribute to Victoria Wood.

The clip of her dancing Charleston looks the same standard as previous weeks. And whilst Matt managed to endear himself to me with his ITT performances, I think Jayde does the exact opposite and my opinion of her on ITT is the exact same as the live show.

I think she is a great wee dancer, but perhaps could be overlooked when the voting happens, she doesn’t project ‘celebrity’ like some of the others. If she ends up in the dance off, she would be saved, surely ? I feel that Jayde won’t be out until the judges start marking appropriately, because she must have a big public backing to keep her in. As it stands , she may survive unless she ends up in a dance off. But if this is merely an entertainment show, and not a real competition, as has been pointed out to me, then if the public want her, and they like her, then her performances don’t really matter. Perhaps she will pull it out of the bag this week. There was someone years ago who was really rubbish, but kept going forward on the public vote, quite a few better dancers were eliminated. Cannot remember who it was, think it was a man. Even the judges were giving him low marks. Anyone with a better memory ?
John Sargent
He retired as he thought it wasn’t fair - it had become a thing he could have won
