Ellie - was bored of her salsa
Will - he just comes across moody (but I want to see him in a traditional ballroom.
Matt - much improved looked like he enjoyed it but think he'll be in DO
Jayde - bored of her presence and definitely don't want her stories
Molly - great dance but needed more hips
James - great dance improvement, and pleased he finally felt he strictlyied, but keep the kids off the VT, I can't be doing with anymoreTom -Buzz, Buddy and the other child moments.
Fleur - perfection.
Kym - just don't warm to her even though she can dance.
Tony - looked like a murderer.
Hamza - brilliant
Helen - lacklustre paso
Ellie - that bonnet was distracting and gimmicky, does vicky giggles dislike her?
Tyler - nope.

Wish Craig would reintroduce his spatula hands critique, the hands on the celebs ruin movements

Last night's show was finally full of oomph. Think the shock dance off woke up celebs and pros.

Are you sure Jayde has been married for 15 years ? Because in 2020 she was dating Rich Wilson , and he now appears to be married to someone else
Maybe not then, I had seen a lot of people saying she has been with her husband for well over a decade, but maybe they are getting her confused with Fleur who has been with her husband since 2008 I think? Either way she’s definitely straight and has been married to a man. This post from her instagram implies that they have been together for ages.

My mistake has been pointed out. No difference to me at all, because I vote on the dancing , not any personal factors.
I think I have to accept that my way of thinking is old fashioned and out of date. It is obvious that my idea of a “competition “ has been dumbed down so far that all meaning has been lost. I just need to sit back and keep my mouth shut, because obviously all that matters is entertainment. I’m in my mid seventies, I don’t understand the modern world . Because I believe the best dancers should have the highest scores in a competition , I have been sworn at, laughed at, and patronised. And there is more to come likely. Think the time has come for me to bow out from watching entertainment, I’ll stick to knitting and Gardener’s World.
I have had a rethink. I’m going to apply to Naked Attraction. Obviously, they cannot reject me because everything has to be inclusive nowadays. My boobs are at my knees, and my arse is getting there but who cares ? Then I’ll sell my story to a magazine, with a sob story. Instant celebrity. Strictly will snap me up, because I will remind everyone of their grannie, and I will get put through a few times to the next week, for being game and entertaining. Good dancers will be put out of course, but who cares ?

You’re acting like it’s the world championship at Blackpool 😭 People are always overscored, tit dancers always get further than they probably should and the best dancer rarely actually wins the show, it’s a fun family entertainment show. If you view it as anything more than that then that’s on you.
Of course it’s on me, it’s my opinion. And I am as entitled to it as you are in your opinion.

I don’t think people would mind Jayde so much if the judges didn’t constantly over mark her.

She’s obviously having the time of her life which is lovely to see but I do wish she’d just go out and dance without crying or making a meal of it in the VT or with Claudia. Same with Will and his I’m doin it for me kids and me famileh schtick. Nobody cares mate x

Of course you are entitled to it. I personally just don’t get that invested to the point where i’m annoyed by seeing a contestant who is really trying hard get nice feedback.

I like Jayde, I enjoy watching how much she loves dancing, but it's the overmarking compared to others that is getting annoying

The show likes to do this though - build contestants up, overinflate scores and then all of a sudden they start critiquing them properly when they've decided their time is up

And at the other end of the spectrum, I think they choose who to underscore early on so a breakthrough week will have more dramatic impact later on in the series

Okay, I accept that. You are entitled to your point of view. If you don’t get invested then you will enjoy the programme more, which is good. I do get invested in those who are really trying hard to improve, but I get the point that I am obviously wrong in this respect. Going to stop watching. Because I am not going to change my thinking . I’m a dinosaur it seems.

Great, go for it! Good luck 🙂

It’s a light entertainment reality tv show themed around dancing. It’s not a dancing competition.

Did you miss last week, when Richie and Giovanni were dressed as a warthog and a meerkat and dancing to a comedy Disney song? Which part of that suggests that the BBC are prioritising dancing over entertainment?
It’s not a dancing competition ? So why are people practising, and why is there a prize at the end ? No, don’t answer that, I’ll just accept what you have told me.

Here, have some Hamza and chill out a bit:

the last 2 weeks Jayde has 'led' the convo with Claudia away from the dance and onto herself (as have others -she's not the only one, but is the major culprit) - the emotional choked-up voice eliciting Claudia's immediate empathy as she arrives in the Clauditorium - sorry, but one has to wonder if it is a tactic as it seems to be becoming 'a thing'.

Claudia needs to head her off at the pass - just talk about her dancing please!

how about this?

“We needed to come up with a big Saturday night show and at a meeting we were discussing what hadn’t been tried,” Fenia, who then worked as the BBC’s Entertainment Commissioner, remembers.

“Out of the blue, I said ‘ballroom dancing’.
“My vision was for an entertainment show first and foremost, with celebrities out of their comfort zone.”

Oh it’s definitely a competition, I think that’s pretty obvious based on the fact there’s a winner at the end. I think the point trying to be made is that it’s not a real life competition and the contestants aren’t going to be judged the way they would be in the real world. At the end of the day it’s really just a bit of fun and not meant to be taken that seriously.

I have been criticised for being invested in the show, but thank you for being invested in looking up Google to find an article to back up your point. But you needn’t have wasted the time, I told you I accepted it.

I’m finding her to be a wee bit self indulgent tbh, although she’s not the only one like you said.
