That's a shame for AJ, but it was always a long shot with her injury.

I wonder if they asked Dianne to do it and she said no, so they thought we'll get Max in and then she'll want to do it, but she still said no :ROFLMAO:

I think she probably declined when she thought her family were going to be here for the holidays/thought she might get over there just after Xmas. I doubt it was a commitment clash because I’m not sure what she’d be doing work wise that she wouldn’t have been able to slot around tour commitments.
 
Gutted for AJ but I expected this especially when she went quiet this week. I have put my tour tickets up for re-sale without AJ there is nothing I was really excited for, I have found the choice of dances a bit underwhelming for this tour.

She mentioned scripts though, which made me think more acting job.

I like to think she'd be a no nonsense, kickboxing, mardy Doctor.

She said yday that they were on to filming episode 5 of whatever it is so the channel should confirm and give the go ahead to announce very soon. I thought maybe a quiz show.

Might actually tune back in to HO when she returns. It’s been dire the last few months.
 
Can’t say I’m remotely shocked AJ has withdrawn. I’ve no idea why they’ve left it this late to work that out .. she’s clearly sustained a bad injury. She’ll be hard pushed to walk on it again comfortably for a few months, let alone do extensive dancing!

I was going to give it a watch when she comes back too. Interested to see if gloss over Lisa shooting Ben all those years ago 😆

Hiring AJ and Curtis - bad Hollyoaks decision (although I'm conflicted because the memes bring me great joy)

Agreed! It doesn't take a physiotherapist to work out there was no way she was able to do the tour as well; everyone could see how extensive the injury was. Maybe they thought it would be too doom and gloom too announce she couldn't do the final and tour at the same time.
 
At the very least we can all hope Strictly keep to their promise that we get to see the showdance on the next series. Would love them to be able to do next year’s tour too. I hope they stay friends ( I’m sure they will) , and that AJ gets the most amazing jobs this year. I have tickets for the professionals tour and Burn the Floor, so will get my Kai Fix before September:)

She looked it up and if you hadn't already guessed, it refers to a guy who ups and leaves straight after sex, but not before he wipes...himself on the curtain. Anyway, I was cackling away when I heard this whilst walking the dog earlier 😆

Thank Marian Keyes for that - she coined it in twitter years ago. She loves strictly but not him.

Gemma is no Judi Dench but I am sure she would be able to say 'How's Trish?' with something approximating the cadence of a human being.

Is Gio determined to catch Covid before the tour? (going to a crowded football match, then hanging out in his mate's restuarant with footballers). I guess he may as well get it out of the way now..

The medics must have told her and the organisers though once they did the MRI. It does seem somewhat cynical to me to have left fans who seem so desperate to believe in biological miracles in limbo - apparently buying tickets for the tour on multiple nights.
