I couldn't care less if AJ and Kai are a thing or not (good luck to them either way). They both seem nice, but if they're not together, I'm not sure AJ liking stuff on twitter and messing with people is a good idea, especially when folk seem to be quite invested

I’m thinking the awful ending of the Strictly experience, and being stuck not being able to do much on her own due to her ankle injury may not have helped. Luckily her family come across as super supportive, as do her friends. I really hope for her sake she can at least make some of the tour. She’s such a star, I’m sure her future career will be amazing whatever happens.

I have been overly invested in Strictly partnerships before, so I get it, but there comes a point where you realise you need to give your head a wobble and take a step back, and some AJ and Kai fans passed that point a while ago 😬

Oh yes, I've become invested in Strictly partnerships before so I completely get it. I still follow Gemma and Gorka (and they're probably a good example of how it can work out well for some), but sometimes you need to take a step back.

I don't know whether it's because Strictly has really blown up on social media in the last 2/3 years, but some of the stuff posted this series just seemed so much more intense and OTT, for Gio and Rose too. And in that case it's just so much more inappropriate because she has a partner already

A bit like Ranvir liking comments last year about her and Gio: hard to know if it was because she was having a laugh at it, encouraging speculation, or there was something going on..

At least the AJ/Kai people on DS are quite funny.Meanwwhile Lady Lavender is desperately trying to shut down Rose/Gio shipping constantly on the RG thread! That horse has bolted..

It is really disrespectful of RIO fans to think the two were getting together when she is so private and happy with her boyfriend . Glad she made it pretty clear she was simply friends with him. It did bring out a nicer side to Gio though, and for that I applaud her.

It find it truly odd how much power she holds over the thread, I have seen her many times shut down conversations that she has decided are against the thread rules (HER rules not DS) for fairly benign things that Gio himself has shared.
It amazes me no one tells her wind her neck in and that she's overstepping but it would appear no one has ever dared.

Well that's her online persona at the very least! I do love that her fan girling over a 30 year old dancer is so in conflict with her attempts at dignity. :ROFLMAO:I say that as someone who loves a good gossip site but I like to think we don't all take it so seriously!

:ROFLMAO: What I love is the Rio shippers trying to slip in a bit of shipping they are reduced to just posting hearts and heart eyes whilst pretending they just Love the friendship.
 
Living for this LadyLavendar chat!! 😂 I find her highly entertaining and also very odd. She defo seems a more, mature lady- I assume 60s. I am trying to imagine my mum spending hours patroling gossip threads about an Italian dancer young enough to be her son 🤯🙈

Dunno how the rest of them just accept her being 'big boss of all Gio threads'- bizzare!

She also says things with such an air of authority like - 'Gio is away with a small group of friends to enjoy some R and R after what has been his most intense year on Strictly'. Love you aren't his PR rep releasing a statement you just follow him on insta same as half a million other people 🤣
 
A couple of years ago I ran into Giovanni at a poker tournament. Nice bloke, good at poker, is very tidy and smells lovely.

I off-handedly mentioned it on DS, and within half an hour LadyLavender had PM'd me for details. I provided, cause I'm nice, and she then sent me a PM cross-referencing my message against her own extensive files. She not only knows Gio's movements, shopping habits and toilet routine, but those of his family, co-workers, friends and financiers.

She seems nice, though.

I was thinking no way would my mum ever do something like that but then I remembered her appreication for Davood during the tour and I'm not so sure :oops:
During the Run Boy Run Pro dance she kept going on about how wrong it was for Davood not to be included when I pointed out he wasn't a Pro she pointed out she didn't think the dance was so much about dancing.... :LOL:

The thing I found most odd this year was just before Rose and Gio did their couples choice, she was posting loads about how they were being stitched up by producers over it and I can't even remember what her reasoning was - something like their ITT interview was 30 seconds shorter than everyone else's?? That dance was the complete opposite of a stitch up! Bizarre

It's like if they're worried that Gio might do badly that week, they need to make sure they have pre-emptive reasons in place that absolve him of any blame 😆
