Haven’t Oti & Motsi known Johannes for years too? I’m sure he used to dance with Oti when they were younger.

I think the actual trophy is engraved with all the winners which is why they keep it but I’ve never understood why the tour winners get a massive glitterball each but the show winners get the mini versions. They probably don’t care but I’d want a massive trophy after all that work!

Probably I can’t imagine the ballroom circuit is that big in SA.. especially when they were kids. Then again the majority of the current all go back years with Each other in some way… don’t forget the pictures of Katya and Luba as kids at a competition.

His first year on DWTS he got an older celeb Katherine Lynch getting her all the way to week 9 (week 7 in Strictly terms) he can do really well with someone who is bad on paper. I really hope he gets either a ringer to show off his talents or give him a contender. I suspect they will put him on the Gio and Kev route of feeding him ringers and contenders till he wins like them he's made a good impression on the general viewers alongside being an excellent teacher and choreographer.

There are a number of tall males in the line up so there is always a danger of being benched but Kai is fresh blood so I suspect he producers will favourer him over the others when it comes to doling out the partners.

Reading Mosti's tweet, I'd love to know how the Strictly cast feel about social media. The show and the cast have a much bigger social media presence these days but it seems to have become a lot more toxic in the last few years which is at odds with a show so focused on positivity. If it's not the haters sending Shirley and Motsi death threats, it's the shippers over-analysing every interaction to a stalker level. Does anyone else remember when some Dianne fans tried to accuse Giovanni of sexual harassment during the live tour because of where his hand was during a dance or something?

I think they used to get bigger ones. I remember a photo of Darren Gough with his seatbelted into the passenger seat of his car, with a Santa hat on it, and it seemed much bigger than the one in Giovanni’s photo.

Back in the day their SM during Friday/Saturdays were a lot of fun to watch and the videos from the tour were really great too they really loved to party, fun vibes. But these last few years they have all become increasingly guarded on SM.
It seemed to me to start around the time of Kissgate and Joe and Diane rather keen fans, suddenly they were being scrutinised on a whole new level with a lot of it making the media too.
When we do get backstage stuff now its rarely from the Pros it's usually the celebs like Dan.
