I haven’t enjoyed any of the pro dances this year - in fact I barely remember them. JG was on ITT a couple of times that I saw and when talking about his favourite ones, I was like ‘oh yeah, that one was good’…but none from this year sadly.

I shared this not long ago and it’s totally different seeing it live. But this is my fave pro dance and while it does have a theme, it’s upbeat and well danced by everyone

When rylan asked if she had dan’s blazer on she didn’t know what to say lol

That was so weird, now I do believe she really has fallen in love with Dan

I actually thought his samba looked quite good in the rehearsal footage shown today. Quite controlled but with the right bounce and drive. I was expecting a frenzied mess but I didn't see it.

I think Angelica Bell was right on the panel - Rhys will probably be in the bottom two but he may well end up beating his opponent in the dance off.

Saturday night's samba, in 90 seconds he's going to transition from calm energy to Kermit and then into the Tasmanian devil.

The ballroom pro dance with Johannes as the prince and all the couples dancing in same sex couples was so beautiful, really moving.

Not a fan of Jason Gilchrist but he's not going anywhere soon he has been showcasing his group dances on ITT, so they clearly like him.
Will admit enjoyed hearing the background and breakdowns of the group dances (better than the actual dance!)

ITT katya's neckline was naff and distracting. Nadiya winning the pro challenge

I liked this pro dance, mostly because of Gorka absolutely bossing it as a villain, and the Thousand Miles one that Gorka and Karen led on the first show (can you sense a theme? ) but genuinely can't remember most of them this year



The robot one was a real low point though - I really don't want to see Neil is a tight silver jumpsuit and all the awful CGI that was out of sync with the dancing! Just no

This one from 2016 that opened the series is pure schmaltz, but I remember crying at the time (it had been a rough summer)

The tabloids really just make stuff up and then force people to engage when it's all absolute nonense, huh. If there is no story by god they will just manufacture one and force people to comment on the record about it.

Yeah, they keep trying to draw people out so they will comment, then that becomes the story. I remember Matt Di Angelo saying at the time of his relationship with Flavia, you keep reading these rumours and after a while you start to think they must be true!

I suspect we will see the Kai & Johannes ballroom dance on tour. None of the others have had much impact.
The Run Boy Run dance on tour was a highlight that year.

Katyas dress was definitely one of those that looks better when she was stood up ! I loved that Nadiya won the pro challenge, she's definitely become one of my favourite pros this year personality wise.

What does everyone think of the lindy-hop-athon, do you think it should be brought back at some point?

Apart from the time the Judges mucked up the scores, I didn’t think it was a good feature

I loved it

It also simulates actual ballroom competitions to have them all on the floor at once, which is fun. We get to see them all together outside the context of a choreographed group dance. But the potential for mess is very, very high

I wouldn't mind -athon being brought back, I don't like Lindy-hop as a dance but some of the others were fun too. At the very least it's fun for the pros and the celebs get a little peak into how the Pros go about a real dance competition.

Could they maybe do some of the pro dances from last year? Hardly any have stood out to me this year apart from the same sex one.

I can't remember them doing that specifically again either. Yeah, I appreciate it for the Come Dancing throwback that it is. Wouldn't be opposed if they brought it back occasionally.

I think I would prefer an ‘athon’ if it was a standard dance, not lindy hop as that was new to the audience and we didn’t know what we were looking at. But right now I don’t know what dance I would choose - maybe the cha-cha-cha?

I think in Dan and Nadiya’s case he’s trying to convince himself as much as he is the papers!
