I get she's gutted for her son, but maybe when your kid is the absolute best in the world at what he does, then it might be difficult to accept he might be a bit tit at some other things. His scores were a bit harsh, but at the end of the day he wasn't that good a dancer and not enough people voted for him 🤷

Controversial I suppose but I do wonder if black celebs are ignored/not favoured as much by the voting public. Rhys isn't my favourite but he hasn't deserved to end up in the bottom 2. I had a soft spot for Ugo, if anyone was going to get the 'likeable dad who can't dance' vote why not him over Dan? Hope to see AJ do as well as she deserves once the public vote starts to affect those at the top of the leader board more.

Judy and Ugo were both hampered by sickness and injury and potentially could have withdrawn if not voted out. Nina was badly let down by Neil I think. Rhys doesn’t have the fanbase as a CBBC presenter vs news presenter - Karim similar issue. Nancy is the first Asian pro so I do want her to do well - but I still want Rose to win. She can’t hear! She’s going to win a dance competition against hearing contestants.

And that’s the nuts and bolts of it, if people don’t vote then there is a 50/50 chance they’ll go home. My MIL and my SIL don’t vote at all and from chatting at work, not everyone has a favourite and they will vote for who they like on the night.

Does Tilly Ramsay still work for the BBC?

I think black celebs have more to live up to and have to be amazing to be in with a shot. I don't think there have been any black celebs who were average and got to stay in as long as Dan or Adam for instance- they'd have been out week 2 tops!
 
Where was Adam’s mum when Smug Ore was being favoured because he was the BBC golden boy?!? And Annoying Stacey Dooley?!? Both paired with an irritating Clifton?? We could have told her then it was fixed 🤣🤣

** Actually I don’t think it’s “fixed” in terms of vote numbers being messed with, but I do think the producers/judges work VERY hard to make sure the ones they want to do well get the votes by giving them the songs, costumes and dances that will be popular with the viewers. And adding bits like Gene Kelly’s wife in!

Did you ever see Nyle Dimarco? Deaf model who won Dancing With The Stars a few years ago. Brilliant.

John Barnes, Heather Small & Jamelia were all pretty average (worse than average for everything apart from the salsa, in John’s case!) & made it to weeks 8, 6 & 9 (I think).
