Oh wow what an amazing and selfless person. Perhaps I got it all wrong and he doesn't care about his own fame, the whoring of his family is just giving people joy and he actually hates all the fan adoration šŸ¤®šŸ¤®šŸ¤®

Also I can't believe shrieky Amy would be that competitive and want to win

Seriously just duck off both of you. Although the comments are giving me life

I bet Adamā€™s girlfriends phone bill will be huge after voting for everyone else as much as she could; she must be happy he is out!!
Sheā€™ll do a Tik Tok no doubt, manic laughing

Its interesting Adam is saying in the paper's he hardly knew his girlfriend before she got pregnant if I was her I'd be checking out the rental market in Sheffield
Yes, he is going to fly

Do the producers have list of who they want to leave each week? They probably wanted Adam out the second he and katya got too close for comfort but judi had to go first.
Surprised Dan stayed over Adam though perhaps viewers want nadiya to have a chance at lifting the glitterball or just to stay in longer than she has previously šŸ¤”

I guessed that tillie would stay in even before the results show started, it would have been harsh for her to be eliminated 2 days before her 20th birthday.

Dan is somewhat likeable, Adam and all his preachy speeches is not !

I also don't think Katya likes him as much as she pretends too ..she side eyed him awkwardly more than once on ITT when he spoke over her !

When I saw they had Adam up to dance first, and then not being very generous with the scoring, I did think they were helping him on his way a bit. Usually after a bottom two appearance they might give someone a more favourable slot in the running order to give them more of a boost.

Maybe it was all the press stuff about the almost kiss or they just thought he had run his course? Or a bit of both. I do think they wanted to keep Rhys out of the bottom two for this week at least - the optics of three black celebs leaving (and being in bottom two) in successive weeks isn't great

Aw, Katya posted a lovely BTS video of them, I think they really did get on though they were very competitive with each other. Who knows what would have happened if he hadn't a brain meltdown in the AT? I just wish he had addressed somehow the damage the almost-kiss did to her..

Just another person who's come to say that perviously wasn't that fussed on gio but he's grown on me this series, especially the way he spoke to rose last night (when he was saying how much he'd learnt this series) rather speaking to Claudia or the camera so she could understand what he was saying because that was most important my heart just exploded a little bit. I LOVE YOU GIO, LET ME SEND YOU POEMS šŸ¤£ I have also fallen for Rose, she's so lovely.

They really are a lovely partnership and Rose has definitely brought out the best in him. I love her - she is so funny and genuine.

I think overall the producers will have a rough idea of who might be eliminated when just based off the early rehearsals and the tasters they offer before people sign up officially. I donā€™t think they deliberately manipulate it to the extent of knowing the order people go home in. Itā€™s a live tv show and anything can happen, even the best dancers make massive cock ups. But I will say I do think there are occasions where theyā€™ve deliberately set up couples to fail. Or deliberately made it harder for someone for ā€œentertainment purposesā€.

I do think they have some degree of influence with Greg this year. An early CC dedicated to his dead sister followed by bond then elimination the next week with a samba. That did feel somewhat manipulated for his benefit two dances he really wanted to do then eliminated on a notoriously hard dance that lots of people are eliminated on isnā€™t the worst run a person could have.

But one thing that that producers canā€™t anticipate is contestant popularity. Someone could be awful but really popular and make it further than they realistically should.

I think this is whatā€™s happened with Adam and Dan.

A lot of people just donā€™t like Adams general attitude and when you add in the almost kiss and his reaction itā€™s probably why he ended up in the dance off so many times. Personally I think heā€™d lost interest by now and his heart was probably no longer in it. But getting half way is fairly good achievement so although I think heā€™s a bit of an arrogant twit heā€™s done fairly well considering his hard run.

Never mind the licence fee funding - if they manipulate the Strictly vote that will end the BBC. I donā€™t think they do.
I am surprised at the number of rumbas and sambas we have seen this season - last year think there was one or two? Dance choice can have a big effect so that is probably how they try to up the entertainment factor. Dan has not done either - so they are protecting the BBC person.

But what you said in the second part of your post is what Iā€™ve said before and I believe @Guitarwarrior to be saying too - they do manipulate elements to protect certain people. Dan Walker = popular BBC presenter - heā€™s had dances to suit his frame and abilities. Of course they donā€™t manipulate the Strictly vote numbers, that would be a complete no no and Iā€™m certainly not suggesting they do that.

Who knows if Ugo was down for a rumba in the week he went out originally but it worked out well that he had a tough dance that allowed minimum input because of his back. He was just given the job of Question of Sport weeks before so Iā€™m not sure he was ā€˜scheduledā€™ for a rumba that week šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Tom Fletcher was good at his Paso but he got the proper costume and music compared to some others who are shoved on in an ill fitting outfit with some random One Direction song!

I said weeks ago I thought Gregā€™s stint was mutually agreeable and sorted before he started and Iā€™ve seen nothing since that has made me change my mind.

At the end of the day, their main priority is going to be making an entertaining show, so I think in the audition process, they must be keeping an eye on who might have a bit of a journey, who might be capable of a couple of entertaining comedy routines and who might have finalist potential and who are the most likely early exits.

One little bit of manipulation that I thought was quite obvious was Sara's first two weeks - her CCC was very harshly scored (wasn't great, but was completely horrendous), but when she came out and did a nice foxtrot, I thought they must have known she would have potential in ballroom from her audition, so that created a nice little story - from bottom to top of leaderboard in 1 week and they have someone set up on a nice journey from the start

I think with Adam, it was good having a big name Olympian in the line up, but when it became clear he wasn't improving, they might have helped him on his way a bit. But saying that, he did well to get halfway I think

Yeah, I think the costuming on Greg's samba was the producers saying: he's off. He's a good-looking man, but they made him look awful, so there were zero redeeming features on the dance.
I will also die on the hill that Adam's rumba wasn't bad but was completely screwed by the costumes/theming so I wonder what decisions went on there.
I do feel that with Dan, a decision has been made to keep things easy for him, maybe because they realised people were enjoying him and Nadiya. And when he does duck up, Shirley adds on a mark! Simple!
