Just fell down a rabbit hole - Danny Mac and Oti’s samba, Aliona and Jay’s jive. They don’t make em like that anymore.

I was thinking about this when watching Danny's jive to cleanse myself after watching Adam's - I genuinely don't know if we'll ever see celebs of that calibre again. There was a certain kind of star quality about Danny and Jay in particular! Maybe because I'm older now that magic has been lost slightly but I still watch Danny and Jay stuff on YouTube and get goosebumps

Omg that would be amazing, the return of Anton and Erin! I think she would be a really great addition.

Loving Rylan and Miss Whiplash 😂
She has such a calming presence, explains everything clearly and isn’t afraid to politely criticise the contestants and judges. What a breath of fresh air. She’d make an excellent judge.

Rylan is a great host as well. Such a contrast to Janette. Goodness knows why they thought the woman who spent years hogging the camera in the Clauditorium would make a good presenter!

Can I use this as a chance to comment that Danny Mac was ROBBED and should have won?!? In case I haven’t mentioned it on every thread yet, I am still not over it!!

“My baby boy” - he’s a grown man ffs 😂
Oh come on! my mum would say exactly the same even though I've two left feet! 🤣
She should have had more sense than to tweet that it was a fix. Fair enough saying how proud she was of her son but it's a bit silly to moan about it being fixed. He is not that good.
Tbf, I have boys. I’d probably be the same 😂

Mother’s and their sons eh?
Reminds me of the time I embarrassingly rang up the school because my son was crying because he didn't get a speaking part in the school play, and the time I even more embarrassingly rang up the school and asked why he had got a bad mark on his Computer science homework. I realised he is a bit prone to histrionics so I wait a few days now :ROFLMAO:

I am not over it and will never be over it so please keep mentioning it. He was robbed and he's the rightful winner of that series.

I could spend too long complaining about how the producers pushed Ore as the winner with all that "the next Gene Kelly"/"never danced before" rubbish because I am still. Not. Over. It!

I know it can be boring to keep going on about it but honestly, I don’t care 🤣 He should have won and that is the hill I am prepared to die on!
It was definitely, for me at least, the first time I really felt the producers were pushing a certain person to win. I don’t have the best memory for all past seasons but I know it’s when I noticed it. I’ve not had the same love for Strictly since!

I will never be over it. I remember at the time there was a bit of a narrative that Danny had a boring personality and also was 'too good'. And the mistake in the QS.. But I was still devvoed when they called Ore's name.

I am right there with you! Danny has long since moved on so I choose to continue to be annoyed on his behalf 🤣

And I agree. The producers were determined to have Ore win. Wheeling out Gene Kelly's widow was the worst of all but there was also Darcey refusing to give Danny's Gene Kelly-esque AS a perfect score and Len basically standing up and applauding Ore for never having danced before. It was embarrassing. And that was the year all the Cliftons had great partners; I'm convinced they were hoping to have all three Cliftons in the final if Will hadn't dropped out.

I think this is partially because everyone kicks off when a celeb has the slightest bit of performing arts training (or similar), so none of the Danny’s, Jay’s, Faye’s etc will be considered for the show anymore.

I personally don’t mind if a celeb has some previous training, makes for better quality dances!

Interesting choice of photo when he could have gone with performance one first. It's so nice of her BF to be so understanding.
Gio is playing the game. He knows what needs to be done to keep the interest up. But actually in this case he doesn’t have to. Rose is a wonderful dancer, unaffected, funny and real. She will do well without all the hints about a relationship. The only relationship vibes I am getting are fraternal and a respect for a partner who on paper should not be able to be an excellent dancer, but who has smashed all the dances given to her.
