I am reminded of Virtue and Moir (you know those ice skaters that everyone was convinced were together but once they stopped competing it was obvious they were not).

How do people think their relationship will pan out? They will probably be so close for this intense time of their lives, win and then what? Probably grow apart as life takes over! I know it's bizarre to have such an interest in them but it is lovely watching their interactions and I am excited by their dancing. They are the highlight of the show for me this year.

I wasn’t too surprised he said that but I think it has as much to do with his personal development as anything else. He’s had decent partners but I think having a deaf partner with a fantastic personality who treats him like a big brother has taken him in a different direction.

He’ll probably get slated for it because it didn’t give him much chance to expand. Obviously he had a relationship with Georgia May Foote which I assume made him happy for a while. It’s no secret him and The Whitmore didn’t get on and I think she’d be extremely hard work. He probably enjoyed his other partnerships but this is totally different.

If he did ask to be paired with Rose then I’m glad he did. He was a bit sleazy, bit cheeky happy for me but I’ve loved seeing this side to him and I genuinely hope they win

I think AJ came out of the gates like a rocket with that incredible Jive in the first show. It's practically impossible to maintain that level in every dance and she probably lost out on having that all important "journey" that seems to make or break the winner. People expect her to be great every show now! I think she will deservedly make the final.

Dan, Tom, Rose are having the more traditional "journeys" where they are improving as the competition progresses. Sara is very inconsistent and I no longer think she'll make the final. I think John has overtaken her (I had her personally earmarked for the final with AJ and Rose) and if he does a strong Samba next week on the back of the Rumba he will almost certainly make the final. I can't connect with Tom or Tilly, I'm not sure what it is about them but it just doesn't click for me.

Edited to say I completely forgot to mention poor Rhys which probably says it all.

I have a clear memory of a tearful Gio saying on his final ITT of the now memory-holed Ranvir 'this is my most accomplished journey'. I find it hard to take his pronouncements seriously.

They didn't even let them comedown! Katya was weird. Why wasn't she ready for them to leave? They were bottom! I feel like Katya really didn't want the partnership to end, and felt like Adam had more to give. She defo knew they were going. Anyway, Adam gave the Mail one last story, by finishing his farewell dance with his head up Katya's skirt!

Ah, interesting! I remember wondering were him and Ranvir together...he must feel very strongly and doesn't hold it in then! What will he be like up to the final and then if they win? He'll probably be openly saying he loves her by then! (Again, platonically!)

At the risk of engaging with the stereotype...he strikes me as a typical Italian! Very passionate and gets caught up in the emotions of it all!
I do think Rose has brought out another side to him, almost a softer side and I genuinely think it's because she's not fawning all over him! I've always enjoyed his dancing and his choreography on the show (and just generally looking at him) but this is the first year I've really loved him with a partner and look forward to seeing them dance...if that makes sense?

I also like to think that Rose has shown him there's more to life/relationships than superficial pr stunts and that he'll meet me and we'll fall madly in love and have a whole squad of mini Italian dancers (Im sure my husband would be very supportive) but that's just my silly fantasy!
 
Exactly that KeriRhys. I was never a fan of Gio until this year but I am really taken with him this year! He was always an excellent pro but this year he is showing all his best attributes naturally without even realising it. It's clearly all about Rose for him and getting her through the dance in the highest possible standard that she can. He has his eyes on the prize for sure but I think he's lovely this year.

Urgh he’s such a knob with all his positivity crap and still having a dig at people trying to bring them down 🙄

He should blame his girlfriend for that tiktok and blame himself for nearly kissing his partner on live TV.

I’ve gone right off him. He should have stuck to swimming and winning gold medals as now he just comes across as up his own arse (but I will concede it’s a 🍑 arse!).

I didn't get the impression Dan was sticking up for her, he is a fan of the show and savvy enough to know a hint of possible dance experience or any doubt can bring negative attention. He spends 6 out of 7 days with a professional dancer he could easily ask Nadia if he was genuinely interested.

He really wasn’t poking fun at her alleged ‘lack of experience’ being mentioned repeatedly: he was passive-aggressively making clear that he thinks AJ is being disingenuous about not having danced before. He and Ola make no attempt to hide that they think she’s had training:

Ola: “AJ and Kai's Charleston really was amazing - but there's no way she has never danced before. Some of that footwork was so intricate and so perfectly executed.”

James: “ In my opinion, AJ saying she has never danced before is a bit like someone who has never played golf before going out after three weeks and shooting four under par. It just wouldn't happen, it's an impossibility!

That doesn't take anything away from her talent, though. They are one of my favourites in the competition and have been for a long time - I just don't believe she's a complete novice. If she has been trained before, she should own it! They're an incredible couple and a very powerful pairing.”

I think this series he's being more genuine. For the first time theres no romance rumours in the press and a lothario image to play up to.
I think Rose has a brother/sister relationship with him and going by their IG clips they take the piss out of each other.
He can be himself rather than this suave, playboy character thats been created
