Slightly off topic, but me and the husband tried one of Gorka's workouts this morning (his idea...honest)... Anyway now I can't feel my legs and will probably be asleep come the results show! 🙈😂
...think I'll go back to just watching them with my morning cuppa! 🥴

It’s 3pm, and all I’m thinking is “why wasn’t Ranvir given the rumba?! They could capitalise on the sexy rumours and I’d have voted just based on that”

Sigh.
Jeez...could you imagine!!! 😳😳

My bad! I’m sure I read somewhere he’s had some form of previous experience but even if it’s not much it always angered me how it’s always picked up on more with the girls than the guys. I’ve had a bad day mind, and I’m just getting easily triggered by the small annoyances I have with this show 😅
I think he had literally two or three lessons when he was a lad. Doesn’t really count as training or experience, but some people (not you. On DS mainly) have tried to blow it up into something it’s not.

Im probably about to get banned from a Strictly Facebook spoiler group i’m a member of. Pointed out what a nasty bunch old cows they are for the way they are talking about Maisie and asked how they’d feel if it were someone talking about their daughter (or more likely granddaughter) like that? It’s not gone down well as you can imagine 😂 How dare I be so ageist 😂🤣

There is something to peculiar about Ladies of that age group that makes them so horribly misogynistic towards women younger than them. I’ve noticed it before on Strictly with female contestants and their attitude towards them.

100000% agree, if i had maisie’s dance ability i’d be dancing everywhere!! i feel like shirley is the embodiment of that middle-aged, menopausal woman that hates younger women for just being younger and confident, especially in her atttitude towards maisie, however i do think she’s stopped a bit lately as it became so obvious

I think confidence in a young woman is great to see and Can be rare these. She is beautiful, talented and clearly a hard worker - why shouldn’t she be confident?

Bill always seems confident, but it’s always amazing that he “throws himself in”, the double standards this year have really put me off

Seriously, when has Maisie been "cocky"?
In the first couple of dances I felt like she was a bit over confident when the judges were giving her feedback but to be fair if I was like her at 19 I would be.

I still think of Oti pitches the showdance right the title is Bill's to lose this year. If I was them I'd do the quick step and CC for my other dances. I think we can guarantee Janette will be avoiding the cha cha, rhumba and probably any ballroom too.

I agree, confidence is lovely to see. Unfortunately, in Miss Smith's case, she is very cocky with it.

She has an air of cockiness about her, like she's untouchable. She was caught smoking cannabis whilst sitting in her car. Not a great role model to younger fans and because of who she is, she gets away with it.

Like I said above, she is a great dancer and you cannot knock her for that and because it is a dance competition, that is how she should be judged.

But, I don't particularly like her as a person and she does come across as too cocky in my opinion.

Re Maisie. Yes she did irritate me in the first weeks because of her confidence but as the weeks go on I can see that it's just her nature and joie de vivre:m. She's done well in her career and deserves to flaunt her ability, especially if it gets her work ... why not? She'll do well financially in the tour if it comes off and if she signs up, good luck to her in these trying times. Loving Bill and honestly thought he'd be flagging by now, but duck a duck he's even more energised than ever, way to go Bill. Love jamie's enthusiasm. He's wealthy in his own right and doesn't need this show but yet he's gone in full pelt and I truly believe him when he says it's the best thing he's ever done, it shows. He's worked his arse off in this series, kudos to him. Ranvir, well she's been skating by and overly marked on her nice swishy dressed ballroom dances and the proof of the pudding was her jive this week, it was dire. Really stompy and wrong posture for jive and just bad in general. Her ballroom one was OK, but not that good. She seems to have run out of petrol this week.

I’m definitely in the minority, but I actually quite like HRVY! I think he’s a fab dancer and seems like a nice young lad.
I also really like Maisie 🥰 Her Viennese Waltz was stunning. I think it would be nice to have a younger winner for a change
Bill is a tad bit overmarked for me but I do enjoy watching him dance
Jamie is so fun to watch! Not the most technical, but brings so much joy to the show
And Ranvir is a beautiful ballroom dancer but that jive was so poor for the semi final! Giovanni is such a good teacher, but that was inexcusable!

I really hope Maisie wins. She’s still worked on Eastenders whilst training, she’s been open and honest about previous dance experience, she’s been body shamed and just because she has some confidence she’s been called cocky and arrogant. I think it would be fantastic after all this tit she went and won it for all the the young women who still have to hide their talents in fear of being called arrogant, not like men who can be as cocky as they like with less talent but are idolised and praised.

Just for the record, I don’t like cocky men either. I agree Maisie is a fab dancer.

I wonder those who are rich/very wealthy and don't have other responsibilities get more enjoyment out of it, Emma Weymouth seemed to really love it last year too
