Im probably about to get banned from a Strictly Facebook spoiler group i’m a member of. Pointed out what a nasty bunch old cows they are for the way they are talking about Maisie and asked how they’d feel if it were someone talking about their daughter (or more likely granddaughter) like that? It’s not gone down well as you can imagine 😂 How dare I be so ageist 😂🤣

There is something to peculiar about Ladies of that age group that makes them so horribly misogynistic towards women younger than them. I’ve noticed it before on Strictly with female contestants and their attitude towards them.

Good on you for calling them out! I've noticed it too, that's why I never go on the Strictly Facebook anymore. It's not just Strictly, I've noticed it even on the Bake Off Facebook page where women will be horrid to female contestants. Facebook in general is just a cesspool

It literally pisses me off how Maisie is getting slated because she went to stage school (even though Bill Bailey did too I think and had that even been brought up?) and that makes her a professional dancer, whereas as you can see HRVY has definitely had had a lot of lessons and training to get to that standard. Why, why, WHY do they always have it out for the pretty girls/women? It’s double standards and it gets me so mad, I don’t even need to mention past examples of this because I’m sure we all know them.

Anyway, I wish that HRVY would stop pretending he doesn’t know how to dance - maybe it’s not traditional ballroom but he’s still had training so understands musicality and technique and all that. 🤷🏼‍♀️

He didn’t. He attended a private school in Bath, then went on to study music at the London College of Music.

My bad! I’m sure I read somewhere he’s had some form of previous experience but even if it’s not much it always angered me how it’s always picked up on more with the girls than the guys. I’ve had a bad day mind, and I’m just getting easily triggered by the small annoyances I have with this show 😅

I do think one of the problems this year is that Maisie has been open about her experiences whereas toady HRVY is totally hiding it and even Oti at the start of the series kept making out in their vts that Bill was hopeless at the start of training. I really hope she wins as if its HRVY it'll just show lying and deceiving wins and only encourages future contestants to do the same
 
I think Bill had some ballroom lessons as a kid but that hardly counts, does it? HRVY does my head in. "Oooh I don't even know what a tango is!" spare us. If he was a woman he'd be absolutely slated for the way he goes on. The only reason he gets votes is because these bananas teen fandoms always find a way to fudge the voting so he'll probably win.

I think personality wise him and Maisie haven't really shown us who they are. I don't know why people say she has a bad attitude when she hasn't really shown overconfidence or underconfidence. She's just doing it and having a good time.

I'd love to see Jaime or Bill win. Ringers winning two years in a row is just boring. Kelvin was great and everyone was surprised by him but no one is surprised that the pop star (I use the word star loosely) and the girl who's been posting tik toks of herself dancing in her bedroom all year can dance. Jaime legitimately has improved so much since day 1 and he's really likable- a textbook winner in the old days of strictly. Bill has a great personality and he's seemed a bit vulnerable too, which is heartwarming. He really wants to do well and he's working very hard.

I think out of Maisie and Hrvy I'd love to see Maisie win but it would be brilliant for the show if someone like that DIDN'T win this year.

Thank you, this is what I meant by it but was too tired to articulate in what I wrote 🤣 a lot of people are jealous of Maisie I think, I know a lot don’t like ringers either but I think it’s inevitable in Strictly that depending on a celebs background they’ll be likely to have some previous experience. I do like the journey contestants and watching them grow however to say you wouldn’t want Maisie to win just because of that is unfair as I think she’s grown as a person, plus she let herself go more in her dances rather than trying so hard.

Plus, she stated she was more of a Latin girl as that what she’s comfortable with and she’s been given a lot of ballroom to my knowledge, so it’s not even unfair.

Plus I don't think anyone gives her any credit for being the only one now in the final who's got to manage dancing and a full time job. Its fine for hrvy to boast he's been training 11 hours a day. Maisie has a full day of filming before she can even think about learning to dance. I think all of her extra filming contributed to Ranvir's awful jive last night.
