But didn't she say that the problem was with Gorka and Gemma as he was paying more attention to Gemma than her but how she made that out I don't know as he was spending all his teaching time with her and Gemma said they did not get together until the series finished.

I think she was a bit put out he clearly hit it off with Gemma! Wee bit jealous maybe!?

Didn't find anyone on DWTS that impressive last season. The best dancer was the guy from Catfish but even his posture was awful. Artem's partner could dance but was dull. Johnny Weir could have been great if he had a pro who had a background in ballroom/latin instead of jazz.

DWTS is more of a spectacle but the celebs often have poor technique. And the pros are mostly awful (except for two of the pros who joined last year and the one who won with that crazy guy).

Each to their own though, I've personally given up with DWTS and have watched since the 2000s. Tyra was the nail in the coffin.

I watched DWTS for the first time this year, I used to just watch the dances on YouTube but obviously had more time this year.. But its just not the same as strictly, it all feels so rushed and showy.. And with absolutely no technique! The only pros I felt who made a connection with their partners were Sasha and Daniella. Also Derek is way to young and talented to be sat judging, he should be up there dancing. And then Tyra... DO NOT GET ME STARTED. She was so awkward and uncomfortable to watch, they can't bring her back surely?
 
Wow - didn't expect that. I guess a lot of people didn't think Ranvir was worthy of a finale spot as her Jive cemented the fact that she just wasn't good at latin. Lovely ballroom dancer though and congrats to her for a good run.

Karen & Janette in the final? Wouldn't have ever guessed that but there you go - good on them.

I did think Ranvir was our only bet for a female winner though (unless Maisie suddenly gets tons of votes) which does make me sad as I fear that 2021 will end up being a year where they intentionally cast crap male celebs in order to secure a female celeb win.

Sharna & Pasha (Daniella's husband) are also good but they had Jesse Metcalfe & Carole Baskin both of whom were duds (especially Carole) and out early. Pretty much all of the others are dull and/or poor at teaching & choreo. Artem has had a rough time on there so it was nice to see him win but I never rated him as a pro there or here on SCD.

Derek is too big to be a pro, it's too much of a time committment. I don't think he has any interest in being a pro again and I'd rather see hm as a judge, got bored of him always winning.

Tyra is awful. They are apparently bringing her back as she is on a multi-season contract but if so, they clearly want the show to be cancelled because they will lose viewers. Nothing personal against Tyra but as she went down like a lead balloon, it makes no business sense to keep her.

I always say I'd love to be able to a proper Charleston or Jive!!
The dream though would be a Viennese Waltz with Gorka 😍 hold me close and look at me lovingly until I swoon!! 🥰🥴

Personally I’d absolutely love to see Maisie win. I was so glad to see her get 30 tonight even though I’m not really gone on Couples choice in general as a concept. Her Viennese waltz was beautiful as was Gorka 🥰. She went from tomboy to princess and did both so well.

I thought what Gorka said about her up in the Clauditorium was so lovely as was what Craig said to her a few weeks back in the dance off. The girl was shown a public show no support by being put in the dance off two weeks in a row and was clearly upset by it. Then there was the narrative about her attitude and demeanour which I think is very out of order. She’s responded by clearly working so hard on her dancing and excelling. Her quickstep was one of my favourite ever strictly dances. Her jive was excellent, tonight she was fantastic. No better way to respond. On top of all of that she’s living alone and working on EastEnders. Huge credit has to go to herself and Gorka who’s obviously been a big support for her.

Fingers crossed they lift the glitter ball.

But is it not ok to think someone has a bad attitude? I think she did come across badly in the beginning but I felt sorry for her being in the bottom two as it must be hard to be in that situation. She doesn’t annoy me anymore but I don’t get the “she’s only 19” angle that I’ve seen either - that’s not that young and she’s been working in television for 15 years so she’s not an “average 19 year old” (not that there is but you know what I mean).

People always have their favourites and the best dancer doesn’t always win. Her Viennese Waltz was exquisite but it was like watching two professionals, and that can put people off when it’s not a level playing field. Is that fair? Probably not but it’s not new either.

I honestly don’t know who’ll win this year but I do know not everyone will be happy with the result!

Ohh agreed! I’ve always appreciated how very beautiful he is, but this series I have been fully crushing on him since day 1 😂 I’ve never not found him attractive but I don’t know what it is this time around 😍😍

Yes! So bored of them now. They're all predictable and samey. And also really cringe when it's middle class white people trying to be their idea of 'ghetto' 😬
