Why Strictly forced him down our throats for 6 years, I'll never know. Probably thanks to Bruce Forsyth for the "Kevin from Grimsby" quip in the 2013 launch show.

I think it was Giovanni himself who deserved the win that year - he and Faye produced great dances all season.

Dancer who had a career in dance competitions is competitive, shock, horror! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
 
I always thought Gino was a bit of a smarmy dick until he was paired with Debbie and that made me warn to him a lot more. Laura Whitmore struck me as being hard work.

A majority of the pros have been competition dancers, and incredibly successful ones at that. They still manage to make the focus their celebs and not just on winning for themselves. When Kevin won I felt like it was it was very much an "I won" situation and not "We won".

I definitely feel like there are some pros who are focused on making the show a great experience for their celebs, and there are others who just want to win for their own sake. The likes of Aljaz, Karen, Dianne, Janette all just want their celebs to have an amazing time and to experience the show, whereas I think some of the others (not all) just see their partners as vessels to get their own win.

I had no opinion of her on Strictly TBH but some of her behaviour recently has been a bit odd - she seems to want publicity then gets angry at the press when she gets it.

We're expecting the Ranvir/Giovanni "Curse Of Strictly" romance stories to dry up pretty quickly now they've been eliminated. Apparently the pair don't particularly like each other off-camera, so there's not much chance of them being spotted together now they're off the clock.

Interesting - thanks for the info. We never usually hear this sort of thing, I do wonder how many of the partnerships over the years didn't get on.

Seems to be a bit of a common denominator but I was in love with Brendan as a little girl so I refuse to believe he was the problem :love:
