Sir Keir Starmer #2

1
Trying to smarm his way out of not having immigration, or a target for reducing it, in his laughable “reset”.
Keir Smarmer.

Yet another patronising load of waffle coming from starmerbot - What a fukcing helmet.

Explain to me who he is 'talking to' and what the aim of this speech actually was. It was exactly the same as the tepid bathwater he spoke about. Maybe that was projection on his part.

The bit about: 'country first, party second' was my main takeaway ... a shot across the bow of the Trade Unions? Or the Lefties? Not sure if it's a good idea to piss them off.

Why is he still announcing new policies like the "named policeman for every neighbourhood" (shame it already seems like they'll mostly be PCSO volunteers) on fancy external stages when the party has been repeatedly rebuked by the Speaker since July and told very clearly to announce things in the House of Commons first?

The drop-down banner flag things look more and more like something out of 1984 every day. Can't wait to see what the meme-makers make of it. So many slogans. Government by slogan, soundbite, and lie. The "KICKSTART ECONOMIC GROWTH" one might as well have been taken down and put back in it's envelope before he even started speaking judging by latest Bank of England reports. "SMASH THE GANGS" seems to have been binned off too

Those banners made me want to watch the hunger games.

I'd like to think the electorate are wise to all this PR bullshit. I bet there was at least one whole day wasted deciding which colours the banners should be, which order they should be in, what typeface to use for the slogans. It's beyond pathetic, it really is.

Papering over the cracks as usual. Is he just gonna stand behind a podium when the heat is on? (No offence to pensioners). He avoids the subject of illegal immigration like the plague and that's a huge problem when that's the biggest problem and is reported on every single day, what elections have been won on, what Brexit was won on, what riots have been started on and why Europe and the US are all turning red! His leadership is not compatible with the safety and security of this country. Knob.

I despair of it all. We’ve had the utter disaster that has been a Welsh Labour administration for over 20yrs. It doesn’t work and they are a massive echo chamber of little progress with sadly no real opposition.

Knew it would be a disaster with a Labour Government in No. 10, just surprised at how quickly apparent that has become.

Even farage was getting applause on Question Time.

Jacqui Smith was awful on that QT (so was Campbell but he was always an arrogant knob). Have no idea why Starmer has brought her back, does he think that we've forgotten about her various two home scandals or that her husband was expensing his porn? Wonder if Lord Alli paid for her shiny hair makeover. It doesn't suit her, she's too old for it.

That all said, as crap at getting a useful sentence out as she was, she was STILL way better than the rest of his cabinet of buffoons and know-nothings. That's the really scary thing!

I can't see how this will be the end of tax rises. Business organisations (credible ones) have unanimously said the budget won't help grow the economy. There's said to be huge flight of capital out of the UK and all labour know to do is increase taxes. Should have never said they won't increase them as the first thing they did is increase NI.

Won’t this just increase the cost of childcare ? That’s even more pressure on working people and less disposable income .
