The thing is that breathwork is actually a great tool for wellbeing and mental hearth. But, these charlatans just give it a bad rep. The really sad thing is that people are more likely to sign up to these idiots, than actually go to a trained mental health specialist.
See my initial comment was based on looking at who she'd booked to do the course with, and who had done it previously. I thought it was some shite to help her run without having a caridac arrest (we saw the heart rate records Shiv!)
I literally eye-rolled and went 'Oh more bowl bashing in the woods kinda shite'
After looking into it a bit more I can see they've taken genuine therapies and spoiled their credibility with their whole instahun vibe.

My sister has done yin yoga teacher training for her own education and can totally imagine her learning breathwork and being good at teaching it. She would be doing it to help others. These influencers though? So shallow they're in danger of evaporating.

So she needs to do a course in breathing, but maybe she could do a course in walking first? That gait is something else. Would blame her shoes not allowing her to heel-toe transition if she wasn't as stompy barefoot.

@Defo_Not_Shiv
The mentioned above, and when facilitated by an ACTUAL psychologist/practitioner (ie someone who has an interest & doesn’t just want to and a quick buck) it does have its benefits.

Breathwork doesn’t have to be a mad sniff and snort sesh being surrounded by crystals and sage, but just bringing yourself into the present by focusing on your breath during times of stress & allowing yourself to process the emotions in a non heightened state is even breathwork.

I have done more intense variations which have different effects - look up Wim Hoff he does some incredible things by controlling his nervous system with breathwork. ☺

I don’t feel like this is the place to be bigging up this kind of thing, but it does have its place for sure. Just not in Shiv’s arsenal of weaponry.
I love breathwork! I laughed at the sniff and snort line :ROFLMAO:
I meditate a lot anyway, and I tend to do breathwork if I need I feel a little extra boost, if my mind wanders too much or if I'm feeling anxious. I like the fresh oxygen buzz you get & you feel a reset when you're done. AND YOU FEEL TINGLY.

Shiv is not the person for this. She should abort now before she embarrasses herself. Further.

Happy Tuesday
WHYYYY?!!!

Just catching up on ShivTv as we speak.
She hates stating the obvious, snarky witch as always
Wishes she wasn't so caffeine sensitive. SINCE WHEN? Why does she feel the need to write this tripe?
Another pointless yoga and daily minge post
Rank food that looks like it fell on the floor and she scooped it back up
Stomp stomp stomp
A pumpkin
Whinging that it's cold (pointlessly weather obsessed as usual) but went stomp stomping around in a two piece
and so much more but I started to get a headache
