Also, this is literally 8 weeks of Deli just focusing on this program with no other care in the world, with the price she's paying and the additional workout equipment she had to buy, I would be surprised if the results were anything but great.
This, plus she has money and doesn't have to worry about food. She's able to make and eat whatever she pleases with high-quality ingredients and not have to worry about paying the bills, and she can take all afternoon to make her everything-free meals. Very few people have that luxury.

I almost feel bad for her for getting scammed by that PT - for real, has anyone who's said "I'm undercharging you, you won't find this deal anywhere else!" EVER been legit?

I remember when she said on stream recently that giving birth terrifies her and that she likes the idea of having a child but would basically like to skip the whole being pregnant part. Similarly how she wants to reap the benefits of being a youtuber, but without doing the hard work.

I hardly think any woman looks forward to the pain and changes that come with pregnancy, but that is a part of creating life. Her younger followers should know that sacrifice is sometimes needed. Pain is sometimes needed. Not everything is about you. This is how you grow and appreciate life.
I don’t think this is a fair statement 🤨 some women / people just don’t want to go through childbirth for a multitude of reasons. It doesn’t always necessarily mean “I don’t wanna go through the pain”, but that’s a fair statement and nothing wrong with that.

james isnt really posting very often either, do you think it has something to do with Deli? or just a coincidence that both their content is going down?

she needs him to keep working hard if she's going to pay for all this expensive stuff
He took a break to go see his family, I think, and given there wasn't much new playable content March/April/May that was probably a smart time to do so. A lot of Sims Youtubers seemed to do so around then, after the very tiring and unprofitable fiasco that was the My Wedding Stories pack.

However he's posted three times in the last week, has wound up his last Lets' Play, and it seems he's been given early access to the Werewolves pack to do some builds for the official world, so if he's a smart lad he's probably creating and stockpiling a whole bunch of building and playing videos on that topic right now.

So he can ESCAPE. Smart man 🤣
I think it also had something do with the lockdowns in Australia. Melbourne [where Deli used to live] was the most locked down city. Deli then escaped to Sydney to stay with James and was essentially blocked from coming back until they were allowed by the government. If I had enough disposable income to have two places, I would. If the place where I was staying was locked down, I'd GTFO and go somewhere else. I also think the Sydney place is like a vacation place to them, that just so happens to be James's old apartment. Who knows, James might own the place and doesn't want to get rid of it. But yes, he is a smart man, keeping his old place incase something happens.

Oh, yeah, I don't doubt that's part of it. I just like being a shady witch and sayings it's all to escape Deli 🤣

And, to be fair, if he didn't love her he'd leave. It may not make sense to any of us but... If he's happy, I guess 🤷‍♀️
Still gonna joke about it all though bc I'm salty 🤣

Uh oh, it's going to get rocky in the Youtube sphere. Just got word from a 2 million subscriber channel [Meet Kevin] that Youtube is expecting ad revenue to crater and advertisers to buy less ads. How do you think this is going to affect the big simmers? I'm expecting more to flock to Twitch and beg people for money, probably more Patreons will be created and shadier sponsorships. I'm also expecting some simmers to stop making content because it won't be worth their time. Looks like the good times are quickly running out. 😬

They’ll definitely start hammering Patreon, there they’ll be able to continue doing the bare minimum but get paid for it (Steph0sims being the best example).

I was genuinely shocked at how much people earn on twitch, I watched Shulkercraft's video about walking a million blocks and people were just throwing hundreds at them in stream.

people have this weird mentality that twitch streamers are giving up their chance to get a real life job just to entertain their fans on twitch so theY feel the need to support their favourite creator by giving them money and adoration for the amazing entertainment. Also because twitch streamers are normal people the fan develop an unhealthy attachment where they think lilsimsie or clare sibhon is their bestie because they said their name during a stream. And the best way to get attention and your name called out is by either trolling or by giving bits or gifting subs. The annoying thing is that smaller streamers are usually working a full time job and streaming in an evening for nothing.

People have to have money to give it to you on stream and on Patreon. Not trying to pull current world events into this but Twitch is trying to change their split with big creators from 70% to 50%. Youtube is telling their big creators to expect less ads. If companies with huge budgets are pulling back, how do you think regular people are going to react? If we go in to a tumultuous time, the first thing to be cut is luxuries and throwing bits and subs at streamers is definitely a luxury. Good luck to the creators who just bought overpriced houses. Lots of people got screwed in 2008 and this time doesn't look any different. We'll have to wait and see but it doesn't look good for the "beggars."

Nope. Good times will still be had, bc people will have to watch the small simmers who dont just throw out garbage for money (bc they cant monetize or they dont make bank) and we'll FINALLY get reccomendations for peoole other than the same 5 craps channels we have now. 🤣

BC, frankly, I'm tired of trying to find sims stuff and being reccomended liksimsie, deligracy, and vixella. Don't like them, don't want to watch, stop showing them to me YT. So...maybe if they leave, we'll see good small channels ,🤣🤣

(Oh, wait, did you mean for THEM?? Then yes, good times are over LOL)

Again, theres some crazy witch who donates 50 gift subs to clare every stream. That is several hundred dollars...MINIMUM weekly. like...who has that ???

Anyone have thoughts on SatchonSims? At first, I like how he seemed to be honest and not just trying to get on EA's good side, but after awhile I found his personality annoying and the way he talks about the snowflake generation cancelling simmers is ridiculous. Besides that Clare cheating thing which comes from her extremely young fanbase, a simmer hasn't ever been cancelled because they made their sims do scandalous stuff such as cheating or purposefully killing sims. He also said in a video today talking about the added swatches to the pride flag, he said that he's not in the lgbt community but in an underrepresented minority and as a fellow queer person it just seems off. Being in the community doesn't mean openly participating in it, but he is still part of the lgbt community. I get not knowing what every pride flag symbolizes but the way he talks about wokeness ruining the Sims seems off to me bc it's never anything that's actually valid.

The vibe I get from SatchonSims is that he is trying to play every single field on Youtube. He talked about EA ruining the game, then talks about how good some packs are, then talks about game changer kickback codes, then he's doing kooky challenges, then he's covering IMUV, Disney's Dreamlight Valley and Roblox. PICK A FREAKING LANE! I guess the best word to sum it all up is try-hard.

Has anyone stumbled across an unknown simmer, with 100k+ and not know how they got there? It must be SUPER easy to get 100k subscribers. Just make cute sims, slap on an instagram retro style reshade, share the most boring basic stories and instant success! I've found a couple simmers with tens of thousands of subscribers and other than their game looking washed out, I can't figure out how they got those subscribers. Is it really enough to be aesthetically pleasing and have a cute, soft voice?

Did Deligracy lose half her views on her LP ?

I'm just looking through her channel, views, LPs...

I don't know if she gave up on that one because there are only 7 parts but it's crazy how she gets way more views for the first part, and then it gradually goes down. Is it the same for all sims youtubers ? The novalty dying down or just bad content ? It would explain part of why she keeps giving up on LPs and starting new ones lol...

Most every creator has some sort of viewer drop off. I would say from episode 1 to episode 2, that is a somewhat normal drop off. Lots of people will come to watch the first episode and decide if they want to continue watching. Episode 3 to 4 is not. Is that when people began to notice she was cutting out important stuff? Overall, a 60% reduction in views is not great. Considering Deli's past viewership, unless she clickbaits the heck out of her videos, she'll bottom out at around 30-40k views. I'm interested to see how that 1 hour and 22 minute video performs long term. I imagine that long of a video is going to shave some more people off the series. She might even dip into the 20k range.

I think it depends. She capitalizes on new stuff, because she knows it is coming ahead of time. Rags to Wellness came out when the Spa Day pack refresh came out. Also, considering Rags to Riches is James's thing, she probably hijacked some viewers from him. A whole bunch of people came to see what the refresh was about, saw what the refresh was about in episode 1 and then bounced. I don't know how you'd create a whole series around the Spa Day refresh but she chose to do that. I think it was a poor decision but what do I know? I think her viewer decline is a combination of things. Poorly thought out decisions, uninteresting content, her history of dropping let's plays, her decision to start her videos with an ad for her merch, lack of editing etc. Her biggest problem is uninteresting content. People will put up with a lot IF you give them something interesting to watch.
