yep. Exactly the sort of thing he would do. I remember a few years back, he popped up all over local radio and the local tv news as he’d come up with a stupid, hare-brained idea to solve the towns homeless problems by letting tramps sleep in unused shops at night.

It was literally like something a primary school kid would come up with. He whored himself out to every single media outlet that would listen and managed to get himself on a few but had hilariously failed to develop the proposal beyond, “there are empty buildings + there are people with nowhere to sleep”.

But obviously it wasn’t necessary to look at any of the logistical and legal challenges around such an idea as the whole thing was just a ruse to get his dim-witted, gurning meathead on the telly.

Most rough sleepers are sleeping rough because of mental health issues or addictions. It’s such a complex issue that an idiot like Simon just wouldn’t understand. If you see rough sleepers during the winter months it’s usually because they’ve turned down interventions (I have a family member who works in housing and who deals with these sorts of cases all the time). Often it’s because they’re not allowed to drink/use while staying at a shelter.

At the most basic level, where will people be pissing and shitting in these disused shops? How do you keep people safe? What happens if there’s a sexual assault? What if someone brings in drugs? He’s barely put a second of thought into this.

And????

What he imagined is property guardians, but for some of the most vulnerable people in society. What a twit.

Who is liable if they fall asleep with a cigarette and set the place on fire or if someone gets injured.

Reminds me of that pea brained Geordie woman who wrote a cutesy wootsy script for her five year old daughter to regurgitate, in exchange for 15 minutes of fame

There used to be a video of the narcissist Mum, pretending that her daughter had prepared it all herself. All very clever. What would be really clever is explaining to the kid that once school/college/uni is over, you have to go out and earn money. Some people go down a different road, and choose to piss their lives away. The people who go out and earn money get quite cross when the pissers get rewarded for truly awful decisions/behaviour, because it comes out of their taxes.

All very valid points but fear not. Our intrepid hero had an answer if anybody pointed out that it was a stupid and terminally flawed idea…. “I’m not saying this will be easy, I’m just here to rAiSe aWaREnEsSs blah blah blah I’m a virtue signalling leftie who raises money and everyone needs to know how good a person I am.”

Thanks Simon. Because I had no idea that homeless people existed until your fat face appeared on my tv looking like you’ve just had a lobotomy.

Not sure risk assessment, infection control, health & safety protocols and consistent guidelines with bloody hard graft are his forte, looking at the failed businesses and, well, literally everything else about him.
