yep. Exactly the sort of thing he would do. I remember a few years back, he popped up all over local radio and the local tv news as he’d come up with a stupid, hare-brained idea to solve the towns homeless problems by letting tramps sleep in unused shops at night.

It was literally like something a primary school kid would come up with. He whored himself out to every single media outlet that would listen and managed to get himself on a few but had hilariously failed to develop the proposal beyond, “there are empty buildings + there are people with nowhere to sleep”.

But obviously it wasn’t necessary to look at any of the logistical and legal challenges around such an idea as the whole thing was just a ruse to get his dim-witted, gurning meathead on the telly.

There are some bad parts but every town has their dodgy bits. I’m careful if I have to go to certain areas after dark but not at Jack Monroe stab vest level. It’s certainly not like a horror movie!
