unpopular opinion BUT i do like her and Big (especially season 1 and when they get back together in season 2); i like that she's quite scattered and quirky and he's smart and put-together, i just like those kind of couples. However, the affair did not show either of them in a good light and then after that when they became friends and we're supposed to think of them as this "meant to be" couple. Aiden deserved better in season 3, but season 4 he should've known better and i think he tried to change Carrie too much to fit what he wanted.

I don't think it's an unpopular opinion, I LOVED them together and most girls at some point had a Mr Big, a drug like energy that pulled you together, he would leave you addicted then no matter how many times you walked away, you always went back. I thought their chemistry was amazing acting or otherwise, its just Carrie people now don't like and SJP too. She changed in the series as it aired and looking back she was such a brat.
But I know exactly what you mean, especially in the early seasons she would get nervous around him, even phoning him she would trip over her words 😆

Today I watched "Deadly Desires" on Netflix - terrible, terrible movie. Kristin aka "Charlotte" is in it and it was nice to see her on screen again, but she was definitely "Charlotte". She looked older but still girlish and sweet and classy.

She is probably too type cast to feature in many things and it also seems that her acting ability is somewhat limited to playing a Charlotte-character

I always thought Big and Sam were better suited. Carrie suited Aiden better.

I'm doing a rewatch and am on series 4 where Carrie has just started with Vogue. I think this is the stage when she starts to become super self obsessed.
I don’t think Big and Samantha were suited.Sam and the guy she cheated on Smith with were a perfect match. He was older and successful and was more her match they had chemistry.I think he owned the bar they went to.Big is too stuffy on the golf course guy 🥱

It is enjoyable, but it's also ridiculous and basically just a group of gay guys reimaging their own lives over NYC women.

I'm team Kim Cattrall and think SJP is probably not that great of a person.

Also why is Magnolia Bakery seen as a thing? It barely featured, but still for years they get so much tourist business from it.
I went there because we did the Sex and City tour while in New York. We did it ourselves rather than paying for the official one, but the official one also stops at the bakery and the bench was still outside.

There is more than one of them in Manhattan

Is there actually an official tour you can go on!? I tried to Google it and ended up on all sorts of dodgy scammy looking websites.

I'm planning to go to New York for my 30th (2.5 years away but its manifesting away in my head) and would love to do one!
There is but when we went about 7 year ago, it was around 80 dollars a person. Google the spots and do it yourself for free

Apparently Carrie evokes the strongest feelings in people about how bad she is and there is a theory that the reaction is so strong because she is the one character that resembles how most women have acted at one point or another.

She was apparently wrote that way on purpose and acts on peoples worst fears about other peoples opinions on themselves.

I've met SJP twice and shes absolutely sweet and lovely and so polite

Haven’t watched it since it first aired. Loved it as a young woman, now I’m curious to go back and rewatch it as a nearly-40.

I loved Carrie as a character and for her quirky outfits, I thought with her petite frame and gorgeous hair she really carried them off!

On Facebook I once asked the question: “Am I the only one who sees the beauty in Sarah Jessica Parker?” and everyone said “Yes!” 😢

her wardrobe in the entire series is to die for (seasons 1-3 especially)! I also think she's very attractive a non conventional way but I like that. 😍

Yes I agree. I remember once a magazine voted her the world's unsexiest woman and she spoke about how much it upset her - so vile that people would even publish that.
That’s so horrible. I mean, ok I get that a lot of people didn’t/don’t think of her as a beauty Queen and she may not be everyone’s cuppa, but a magazine publicly humiliating her like that is just cruel. Especially when there didn’t seem to be any bad press (that I recall?) about her being nasty as a person or a demanding diva, etc.
