I used to watch this show when it first aired in Britain, I think from 1999-2004? I was in my early 20s and found it refreshing, funny and liked the characters. I bought the box set several years ago and still occasionally watch episodes. Its definitely dated a bit, and Carrie was a neurotic witch to her friends and her men, especially Aiden. Her worst moments are when she has to pay Aiden for her half of the apartment and she bleeping expects her friends to bail her out? She goes to Charlotte and whines to her that shes rich so should help her.
Also the scenes at Aiden's country shack when she "accidentally " phones big and invites him over, because shes bored? Talk about rubbing Aiden's nose in it. Carrie was vile, and very self centred. I loved it when Miranda called her out on her masochistic attachment to Big when they were clothes shopping.
When Miranda told her “you become this needy, pathetic person” I was like YES 🙌🏼

I love Nina Katz! When Carrie confronts her she clearly thinks she’s an even bigger tit than she did previously. I hope in the new series Aiden is going back out with Nina! 🤣
This may be an unpopular opinion but I think Carrie was right to be bothered that Nina Katz was going around telling people how she treated Aidan...like within reason it wasn’t anything to do with that Nina! I wish she’d put Nina back in her box lol

I rewatched my favourite episodes last weekend. I was late 20s when this was out and my friends adored Friends. I always loved SATC. Carrie and Big breakup number 1, when he came back engaged and their affair is my fav parts. I was in a messy relationship at the time so of course it resonated. I hated how towards the end Carrie just had to be with somone whether they fitted or not. Berger and the Rooskie were my least favorite of her men. By the time she got to Paris the clothes her spending power etc were just not credible. The movies too were awful.

I liked Divorce but did read that there was some fall out between Sharon Horgan and SJP. Though I also loved Catastrophe? Anyone else.
These where my favourite episodes ever aswell, twenty something girls and all the rest that followed! I always feel a bit of guilt though for enjoying their affair, it is literally the worst thing a person can do on someone else, but their chemistry in those episodes and Carrie looked amazing, even the episodes before the affair when the girls go for Sunday brunch and the wedding makes the paper, I loved her hair up and her jacket.....where are my home fries?

but had she? All I remember is them
Meeting in the toilet and nina making a face after saying she went out with Aidan after.

I think Carrie had just assumed she was going around talking about her, can’t remember but think it was to miranda when she said do you think nina katz is going around talking about me, again, shows how self absorbed she was that she thought everyone’s lives revolved around her)

I thought she said to her friend ‘that’s Carrie’ maybe the model at the end of the ep at the market? But yeah I do agree with you she was paranoid lol

I think she was right to be annoyed by it but its the fact that she was so obsessive about it. Espcially when talking to Miranda, a new exhausted mother. Typical Carrie.

Rewatched all 6 series again. I hated the way Carrie treated Aiden, initially when she cheated with Big and then begged him to take her back, was absolutely horrid to him when her computer broke, wearing the engagement ring around her neck and the ridiculous freak out in the tacky wedding dress shop.

And I forgot how much I disliked Berger. He was so moody and dull.

Carrie was the worst. So selfish and self entitled. When I watch it back now I'm older I really don't like her. I wonder when they wrote the script if she was deliberately meant to come across in a bad way?

I was 25 when SATC started and I genuinely missed how selfish she was at the time! I really like Miranda this time around, shes a very multi faceted character and I adore her sarcasm and cynicism.

I loved Berger him and Carrie suited each other.I think they decided to make him a villain by making him feel insecure over Carrie’s book.I’ve always had a soft spot for him.I’m sorry I can’t don’t hate me.😆
