Do yourself a favour and don’t watch the 2nd film again 🤣 I watched it last week, in a kind of “surely it can’t be as bad as I remember” mood. It is. It is as bad, in fact worse, than I remember. I had to flick through some bits as they are just TOO cringy for words!

Haha I’ve seen it a few times! It is SO bad but I can’t help but like it 🤣 The 1st film was good, it felt like a long episode of the series.
 
I’m so glad I realised SATC has a thread on here! I’ve been rewatching the box set on now tv since they announced the reboot. I’ve not watched it since I was up in the night feeding my middle child (now 8) so I’d forgotten a lot of it! I am just starting season 5, but I cannot believe how much it has aged not just in 20 years but also in the last 8 years since I’ve last watched it! Time has moved on thankfully! However I don’t know if I have ever realised how awful Carrie is as a person! She was awful to Aidan and her friends! She wasn’t a kid either she was 35! I can’t believe I ever held her up as an icon 🙈

Yes, and rather than them just casually mentioning it in conversation and forgetting about it, maybe start the series off with Samantha’s funeral. I wouldn’t buy the drifting apart, moved to another country etc.

I wouldn’t like to see the character replaced (not sure who could fill her boots!) but a fourth friend introduced would be good.

yeah isn't it pretty unusual to drift apart at that age? usually that happens earlier like after school/uni/ when people have children etc (unless there is some big argument or something anyway)
 
Love SATC❤️ am currently rewatching here too. Dh was watching band of brothers recently and the actor that plays berger was on it and I said "did you know that he broke up with Carrie on a post it "?! He was sitting there going "what who's carrie''🙈🤣

I'll never forgive them for making Steve cheat I think it was completely out of character and unwarranted. Does anyone know why they changed the style of programe after the first few episodes, ie. The talking to the camera, characters like skipper etc

i thought the cheating thing did kind of make sense tbh, what I hated was when in the first film Miranda hadn't bikini waxed and Samantha shamed her for it

Because it was unbelievably annoying?!!!!!!!

I hated the whole breaking the 4th wall talking to the audience crap they had in the earlier seasons.
