Che's comedy routine was absolutely brutal (and also not funny but then it
is Che). If Miranda hadn't been there, would Carrie and Aidan have just sat chuckling at it? Che knew Carrie was going, presumably. I'd be livid if one of my friends was getting ripped like that in front of me. Also, why is Che dating this child? Honestly, that Toby looks about 19 and Che's meant to be in their 50s? Nope.
Aidan is clearly going to go back to Virginia without Carrie, as well he should because his child is clearly struggling with some pretty serious mental health issues (I honestly thought it was going to be a suicide attempt rather than an accident because the kid was driving drunk, and I guess it could still go that way?
I enjoyed drunk Charlotte and her family need to back off a bit and sort their own
tit out, I was not repeatedly calling or bugging my mum for anything as a teenager. The Sam Smith cameo was mercifully short. Really liked the artwork they bought though.
I'm also chuffed for Steve and his Coney Island business, feels very him. I would just love for him to get back with Debbie.
The LTW pregnancy thing was a real missed opportunity, come on, she clearly wasn't feeling the pregnancy, why can't we have a smart, well-done storyline about a financially secure, married mother who just doesn't want any more kids? I know it's a hot button topic but this is HBO, ffs. The cop-out miscarriage is such a tired television trope.
I did laugh at Nya's spite baby-buggy purchase.
I don't like Seema with the movie director guy. He seems like a bellend to be honest. I think they're just rushing it to give her a happily ever after.
The Stanford as a monk storyline is ridiculous, but it was a really moving scene because you could see the emotion written all over their faces, particularly SJP's. It looked like she was really struggling not to cry and I thought it was a nice little nod to the loss of Willie Garson without killing Stanford off.
I suspect Carrie will have the spare seat at the last supper and get the call from Samantha just before it starts, something like "I hear there's a seat going at dinner?" We know Carrie has sold the apartment to Lisette now so I guess no going back so she'll be rattling about in the Gramercy Park place all alone?
